@Pog I get that all the time. I'm a mutt. My mother is French Canadian of Irish descent. My grandfather's was an orangeman from Dublin and converted to Catholicism to marry my French Canadian catholic grandmother. My father is American of Egyptian descent. His family are Coptic Christians and were kicked out of Egypt in '55 when the Egyptians kicked out all the Jews. I guess they weren't making many distinctions back then. Anyway they first settled in Italy before moving to Canada. Thats why I speak English, French and Italian. I'm picking up Portuguese because that's my wife's nationality. Jazmine is an arabic name. And I'm surprised you don't recognize the name Tarran. Its old celtic meaning Large Rock. Got it from a baby name site. Thanks for the intersest. I wish you posted a clearer picture of yourself, you're so camera shy. lol My favourite irish quote: I'm not British, I'm Irish and we have no problem telling people what we think, so fk off. lol, what a tangled religious background. In my family, as well, there's been a change in religion (on marriage) for the last 5 generations. Same would have held for me, 'ceptin I haven't any interest in religion. I have Irish Catholic, Northern Irish Presbyterian (of Scottish descent), Church of Ireland, French Catholic, Church of England in my immediate ancestors. Anglican, Protestant, Presbyterian, High Church, Low Church.....I can't tell the difference. Uncle a Protestant clergyman, great-uncle a Catholic priest. My mother was baptised as a Catholic, brought up as a Protestant when my grandmother got fed up with the Catholics (fiery French blood!) then married my father who was a Catholic. Is there anyone nowadays who isn't a mutt?
My little grand daughter is a very interesting mutt. Her Mother is Dutch and holds a dutch passport. My son (himself a real mixed up mutt) holds a british passport and Sarah by dint of being born in Ireland will hold an Irish passport.
The greatest part of wisdom is learning to developĀ the ineffable genius of extracting the "neither here nor there" out of any situation...."
