I haven't had much experience with TG yet. But there seems to be a variety of resource out there. Here's the regular tutorials section from the main page here at Rosity. http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Sectionid=12398 Terragen Site Resource page. http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/resources.shtml Great Resource Site. http://www.terrasource.net/ Let us know how you make out. Ockham's razor- It's that simple
Terragen was the first rendering program that I could ackshelly understand - the gui seemed beautifully logical compared to anything else I'd tried. And the surface texturing controls are a lot more understandable than the Bryce DTE, which I'll never master. Wish that Bryce had the atmosphere control that Terragen has, then it would be perfect :^) And the water in Terragen is beautiful as well. Bryce is more flexible, but once Terragen gets object import and a more controllable terrain editor it will kick ass!
Actually love the desolate landscapes TG can produce. Its a cool app, and TG2 will probably be even better. Wouldnt mind including it in my toolbox when its released. :)

What software isn't a work in progress? TG2 has high hopes riding on it. Looking forward to seeing what people say about it.
