RD Phenotypes aren't your everyday Poser products on the market. The only products to give the consumers Professional Grade Quality without the fuss of handling multi applications. When it comes to SanctumArt's RDL and RD Phenotypes products, there isn't any fiction involved except High Quality and Diversity. RDL and RD Phenotypes products are original designs, treated with highest attention to details, and possibilities of different configuration are endless. Don't settle for other obsolete designs, cheap production, and limited imitations! Maximum quality value for your hard earned cash. Look for SanctumArt RDL7 and RD Phenotypes products on Daz.

Character creators please note, this is what's known as pushing the envelope, raising the bar or just plain state of the art. Outstanding design and execution!

Arendar ( ) posted Thu, 27 January 2005 at 8:14 PM

Awesome! How large is the figure (OBJ/CR2) in polygons and megabytes? My concern is how "resource-intensive" it is. Cheers! :-D

Richard T ( ) posted Thu, 27 January 2005 at 10:48 PM

For a PC: .obj is 11.8MB cr2 is 653KB Texture Maps are 3000x3000 and total 8.89MB (approx 2MB) each. No problems at all on a P4 (2.6GHz) with 1GB Ram. Hope to have a couple of freebie texturer mats up in an hour or so. Richard

Holy Cow! This is one amazing beastie! The details in the model and the textures are outstanding! Now, off to DAZ...

Any chance of a checkerboard shot so I can see what sort of stretching is there? My biggest complaint with most "monsters" is bad mapping

The UVMapping is very good_ in 2 sections (head and body seperately)and in the millenium unimesh style. Here's a composite screen grab form UVMapper.

Awesome. Thanks Noggin! That's exactly what I needed. Well, that sucker's goin in the cart for the next time I buy...

The mapping is very good. Seams appear to be at the neck, shoulders, wrists and spine (tail) however are easily compensated for. Head is a different scale but that can easily be controlled by varying the scaling of the brush when applying any new textures.

ynsaen ( ) posted Fri, 28 January 2005 at 8:12 AM

Scale and seams aren't an issue. I've come across some monsters out there where the mapping is, well, to be nice about it, less than desirable. Stretching is unavoidable -- so you have to try and compensate for it in odd ways, and the results are just never nice. There is one other critter I know of that is mapped this well -- that one eyed wonder by ethesis (I think, lol) There's little else that is as hard to map as a creature, but has as great an importance for it. Mapping can make or break it for me.

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Sat, 29 January 2005 at 4:08 PM

So does the figure take advantage of P5's material room on top of the textures or is all the detail in the textures?

SanctumArtKitty ( ) posted Tue, 01 February 2005 at 1:07 AM · edited Tue, 01 February 2005 at 1:18 AM

Hi PapaBlueMarlin!
The images that are presented in this thread are including with the Havoc package. What you see here is what you get in the package, but the results may varies depended on the user's skill. Hope that helps.
