I cant seem to find simple clothing for Micheal or Vicktoria that can be used on a mac. Specifically I'm lookig for shorts and a tank top for micheal and a Tee shirt and bicker shorts for Victoria. Can anyone help?

Thanks

it is all mac compatible. all poser clothing! if u buy from daz download the .sit file. if you buy from renderosity you need to unzip the folder and run it through martin c mac converter. don't use his macinstaller though - it's not for modern files, then you copy the contents of each subfolder into the apprpriate folder of your runtime in your poser folder. be very careful to add the contents and not overwrite your folders. there's a proggy called ditto which i can tell you where to get if you want to automatically install. love esther

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!

Just about anything that works on a pc works on a mac too. The only thing that has been a problem for me is if the paths to the textures are written the pc way "C:Program FilesFolderAnotherFolderOnemorefolderetc. These will have to be edited or Poser will search your hard disk for a very long time. If you're using Poser 4 I think also that the paths to the textures can't contain more than 64 letters(not sure), but the textures can be moved and the paths edited. Stuff you buy is usually OK even if it says that it is only pc, unless it is packed with an installer.

yup, I use a mac and use stuff marked as "pc only" all the time....... it usually all works fine......sometimes you may have to edit the paths, like mentioned above, but even that is really rare, and for the most part people usually (in my experience anyway) put the "pc only" if they haven't had someone on a mac test it. The only time its different is if you have bought something at Daz, then you need to download the .sit file instead of the .exe file, because their files are put in by installers. HTH! ;)

I still use MacInstaller on everything... but then I've avoided the gen 3 figures and their bloat. I hate the DAZ installers because they put stuff where they want, and make extra folders all over the place, with no regard to proper taxonomy... and have always done this. what is the difference between "DAZ Characters", "DAZ Character" and "DAZ People"... and why should there be THREE such folders? Back in the old days, one Dragonrider was installed under "Zygote Characters" and the other Dragonrider was under "Zygote People"... making FIVE such folders. All empty. :) I file human characters under Fairies, Mermaids, Children, and whatever else, with no regard to who made it or who sold it. With artists changing brokerage houses all the time how am I going to remember or care where I bought it? I note who made it on the file when downloaded. But it gets installed depending upon WHAT it is. That is the only way I'll find it when I need it, or can compare it to others in its class. So.. I extract to a temp folder. THEN I install the file where I want it. I spent 4 years as a reference librarian when I worked my way through university, and few things bother me more than a bad (or egocentric) filing system! As mentioned above, you may have difficulties with texture names which are too long. But if you extract to a temporary folder, you can click the texture file and edit any items which may be a problem. Note... if you do your own library, you never have to fret when the program asks you where to find Vicky's eyelashes! Carolly

No sweat. It'll (usually) work just fine on a Mac. If you're using Poser 4/Artist and OS9, you only need to run it through MacConverter, available at www.softrabbit.com /P
