Just working on my Rhino hair for this scene, thought I'd show where I'm at, and get some new ideas or tips... Here's the pic in question, with the (apparently) worst hair ever...

And here's my NURBS hair, so far... I need to make some strays and rats and dread-like things, but the base piece is just about done. Mind you, I doubt I'll be taking this into Poser at all. Just straight into Bryce. But it is easily poseable, at this point. Just bone it, and boom... Any ideas? Too glam-rock? Also, texturing will make the difference in dirtiness, of course...

On point for the strays etc. Also, look at the highlight for his leg, sunstruck hair would do the same.

Lookin good

I think that hair will work as well. This picture looks great. I can't wait to see the finished product.

"Why should I be the one to change my name, he's the one that sucks." - Office Space (grins at GG) Here's some stray-work...

You know you'd probably have an easier time just getting Batam's Hair utility program.

(smiles) Aye, but Rhinoceros is second nature to me. I need the practice, as well... And Rhino is quite amazing, I learn something new every time I'm there! I'm not really interested in the easy way out, most of the time it's not really a way out at all. I've tried Bantam Grass and stuff, but got nowhere in it. Rhino, on the other hand, can model nearly anything...

Well just for info. Take a look at my Orc Ambush picture in my gallery for an example of what grass can do and I used the hair program for the horse's tail, the fur trim on the Orc and probably one more place I can't remember.

Aye, thanks for the idea, Aladaron! I'm nearly done with this Rhino hair-work, but it's still very imprecise and I'll most likely end up doing some postwork to it anyway. I'll check out Bantam hair and see if it helps.... More news at Eleven.
