Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 10 10:34 am)
They're unimesh. I think they are more posable. The old pre-schoolers tended to "break" at the shoulder area when you put them in typical kid poses.
But I do find it funny that they bothered to make a separate boy and girl. At that age, what's the difference? The figures don't have any genitals.
I'm also wondering how far they are going to carry this "no nipples on underaged female figures" thing. Will the new Millennium Baby have male and female versions, the only difference being that the female has no nipples?
but Dodger is making the morphs from V3 & M3 convert to kmore and more figures so hey ..thats works itself out. I'm just annoying with the names.. couldnt they have used like Jessica and Jerome or something? What do we call them? just m3 wont work, thats taken psv3? psm3? ps3? M&M? The brats? PapaBlueMarlin trust me I wouldnt have bought them either if I wasnt working at Poserworld :P I dont like kids and I think the only one I've ever used in a render was dead (er ..long story) They do have the usual unimesh cutting and mapping and so are very good posing, most of the existing mil3 poses & textures work on them to various degrees of hysteria :) Lyrra
Can we transfer the preschooler body morphs to the maddie and matt ps bodies?

For the record, MANY "DAZ Originals" also show the original artist's name in the credits. Many were bought from the artist in question, and transformed into DAZ originals. Of course there have been discussions recently about that whole issue and the fact that DAZ doesn't always show the original artist's name on these products. I do believe Anton was mentioned, in addition to others.

I have the milkids (older version) and I never used the preschoolers yet. (it's not my fault, daddy, it was Thorne. He makes such beautiful nymphs...). But imo, Daz exaggerates in being prudish. Their problem, and I rsqpect they want to be the digital counterpart of Barbie and whatshisname, but I for one won't buy any of their characters, meshes or skins anymore. Looks like they did choose the name with care. Queen Victoria's days were known for their hypochrisy.
I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)
Lyrra, I don't like kids either. I definitely think it would have been smarter to sell a bundle of a preschooler, toddler, and newborn rather than 2 figures that are nearly identical and start with the letter "M." As far as what to call them, I haven't seen Luke and Laura being referred to as L3. In that case, it would probably have been best to give them their own initials. I'm an identical twin and my parents weren't so nasty to name my brother and I with the same initials...
I hate it when Daz does this, They have very cute clothes. Everytime a new Daz person appears that means buying the upgrade-morphs, etc. Even with discounts etc, to really get going it's another $100.00. So far, I didn't buy the Big Cats, horses, David. I don't know if I will get them or not. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :O(
Love is Grandchildren.
Howdy folks, 1) As mentioned above yes the figures are DAZ originals and AFAIK all work was done "in-house" 2) I have no idea why/how they were named but I kinda like Matt (that's my son's name) and ironically enough he lives in Madison, Wi. :-) 3) Ron can't ask in the DAZ forums, he's been banned there too.
Lyrra, I've been using PS3 (which makes me think of Playstation as we have a PS2 machine LOL) for my folder names. M&M just seemed so wrong for under 6 year olds ;) Daz Originals are either made inhouse by the modeller/s Daz employs or are modelled by an outside source and bought from them by Daz. Either way, it's then considered an 'original' and your vouchers work on them. A win-win situation I think :) AKAIK Daz always show the creators name on products they have purchased and host under the 'Daz Originals' header. At least, I know they do with mine and 3dwizard's stuff.
question........do there clothes fit the older mil kids?? cause there's a great freebie one in the archives. netta
Matt and Maddy are not done by Dodger. They are very good figures, however. I believe they were developed in-house by Daz. Right now the only Dodger developed figure at Daz is the She-Freak. Dodger has been spending his time on a private project on contract for someone else, a new, much anticipated animal, and a planned move to a bigger city. As for clothing for Matt and Maddy, there's some nice pieces for sale at Daz, and I did this week's cherub freebie clothing for them (with little easypose wings). I know there will be more released in the coming weeks. There's also a version of Matt and Maddy included in the package that will wear the older PS clothing.

OK, I wonder if anyone can answer this question. These characters are listed as "DAZ Originals," with no further credits. Could these be produced by Dodger? Apparently Dodger had a feud going with DAZ, then made a public apology and offered to sell some of his characters to DAZ. I hadn't kept up on all the latest news, and missed the entire feud between Dodger and DAZ, and don't know enough about his characters. I just like to know the "real artist" behind "DAZ Originals."
