Hi!....... here a little tip to how create a freckles on the skin using the 3D texture Spots node in Poser5 Material Room. Please know that with 3D freckles you don't have to be worry about seams. You can always change settings, change the color whatever you wish. Have fun and see next post for setting. Cath

I used the Poser4 hand because almost everyone still have it so you can test it on the same model. Tr to change the color of the spots to get more dramatic look for old hands etc.. Have fun!

still after very big close up you can see the scary effect. Skin don't have to be that much detailed, because it will looks more as a pigment problems that nice skin and not everyone have freckles. What about pores? scale down the SPOTS and get pores. Cath

Hello Cath Nice Tip's ! SSS+Reflection+Spot = Cool base for Realistic Skin Shader Thank's for sharing ! I tested the tutorial of face_off, (with some modification) good for fixed image, but less conclusive for animation or global light simulation. The skin node on Poser have much more similarity with Brazil skin shader and renderman.(same 'base parameter") Has you make test ? Sorry for my "French" english ! :-) Wan

Hi Wan Thank you :) I don't tested for real the Poser5 skin node because I used the toon node for that without the line, it give much more nice effect, but I can get deeper into it as well and see what I can get with it and the spots or wood node that is also great for the deeper effect of the skin. Thanks Cath
