Subject: Animated Apohysis?

To try and curb my growing addiction I've stepped away from making flames for a bit, but after showing someone the prog I'm back and hooked. I'm still learning, but one thing I've still to find out and its starting to niggle. There's a scripts bit, and while not having been near programming since BASIC, not too sure what I can do with it. The example that comes with it is 'Default animation' and it even has a little pop-up to show an example. Can that animation be rendered? How would you go about making your own animations? (I'm gussing you can't render the animations as I've not seen any, but you never know) :) Thanks

As far as I know - I'm still a beginner too - the only way of making animated flames is by using the "Make sheep" function. More information about these sheep can be found from http://flam3.com (direct link available in Apophysis' "About" window!) I've not tried making these yet, so I must apologize in advance if this information is incorrect in any way. -Petri

Yes..you can render animations. You get the animation by first...creating a folder named 'renders' on your c drive. Then use the Animation Render script to create the bmps which will be located in the renders folder you created. You will need PSP or a similiar program capable of putting the bmps together for the animation. You can look at the script and change where your renders go, how many frames you want, etc. It's an easy script with instruction written in to modify it to your liking. Hope this answers your question. Happy animating!! I have a few I've done and can be seen here... http://www.crazywitko.com/page6.html
