If I am not mistaken, Winter Queen is a character made originally in another Modelling software my a Japanese artist. I think those in Japan might be familiar with the artist or modeller. I recall seeing this once but cannot remember wnere. LOL!

See Yamato's post 33 above. But Katherine says it's a different image, and a different figure. (I assume created by the same artist, though.)

aeilkema ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 4:33 PM

Well I do really hope the new figures in Poser 6 will be good enough to draw some artist away from DAZ and get them creating content for the new figures. Also if their really good enough, I may finally be free from spending to much cash at DAZ and be delivered from Mike & Vicky. Now that would be great for a change. Just to add, I really do love Don already and eternal Judy isn't to bad either, but there's just not enough support for them, which results in too little content.

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

If Cubed did as good a job with the P6 figures as they did with that baby, DAZ may well have some real competition. (Maybe that's why they're giving away V3 and M3 for free.)

I really do hope so!

"Maybe that's why they're giving away V3 and M3 for free"

That was my guess too. They're trying to make as much money from V3/M3 as they can, while they still can. By giving them away, people get hooked on them and just buy stuff for them.

Ohh man - after reading all this, maybe I'm luckey that I wasn't able to preorder the upgrade yesterday and today LOL

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 5:51 PM

That was my thought as well. Les has said he is really impressed with what he's seen of P6, so I'm assuming that would include the figures as well.

UrbanChilli ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 6:09 PM

Might be a stupid question, but who is Les? Anyway - I managed to preorder it and is now downloading Shader 7, though I have no idea of what Shader 7 is. Guess I'll figuer that out later G

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 6:12 PM

Les is Sixus1. He did some of the models for P6, according to the grapevine. Shade 7 is a very cool modeling/animation/rendering program.

UrbanChilli ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 6:15 PM

Ohh ok. Think I heard somewhere proberly here at ROS that he was involved in the figuer making of P6. Maybe that is just rumours.

Curious_Labs ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 6:39 PM

Hi, Sorry our copy didn't provide the version number of the Shade designer LE that comes within the Poser 6 Special Edition product. It is the latest release; Shade 7 designer LE. With kind regards, Katherine

UrbanChilli ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 6:51 PM

Katherine - It did provide the infos on Shade. That it's Shade 7 designer LE. A week ago or so I was trying to make up my mind about what supplying 3D software I should buy and I did ran across Shade and lots of other , I just didn't remember excatley what it was before I went back to CL's site. So it was a nice surprise because Shade was one of the programs I had thought about buying if non of the free 3D programs was what I wanted.

Re: Butt-Ugly Judy

Agreed that Judy, unmorphed, looks pretty horrible and fake, but have a play in the face room....she can be turned into a real hotty...(Can the face-room faces be saved? Maybe I should do a freebie pack)

Doesn't solve the unmorphable body-shape though...

If they can get M3, V3 compatible with the Faceroom I'll be a very happy jobbie.

Attention Curious Labs:
please show ALL features, content and figures of Poser6 BEFORE you you halt the pre-order offer. Don't make us order "blind".

Cheers

You can save the face room faces as morphs but you might have to save the eyes as morphs too. You do know what jobbie means, don`t you?

Lucifer_The_Dark ( ) posted Fri, 18 February 2005 at 8:26 AM

Don't forget Sixus1 is/are building some new toys to be included in Poser6 as well, not monsters though (pity).

Poser Pro 2010 SR1

xantor ( ) posted Fri, 18 February 2005 at 9:13 AM

You actually would have to save the eyes as morphs too, unless you could work out how to move them into place, but then you would have to tell people that as well. You can save the figures to the libraries but even with compression on they are a bit big and you would have to encode them with rteEncoder or something similar to redistribute them. You could just encode the cr2 and distribute that with the texture to people.

bigjobbie ( ) posted Fri, 18 February 2005 at 10:15 AM

a readme with eye-positioning details sounds more my speed Will have a play around next time I visit the Face Room. BTW, you can use the Face Room to create some really wild cartoony faces. It's a cool toy all round. Should've asked CL to include a "Body Room" in P6 before they nailed it down. Cheers

bigjobbie ( ) posted Fri, 18 February 2005 at 2:18 PM

Have uploaded a pic of a quickie "Pretty" P5 Face Room Judy Morph I did this evening - It hasn't appeared onsite yet, so I'll post a link here when it does. No luck figuring out a small/neat way of saving and distributing face room morphs yet, but will keep trying if anyone's keen about the gallery piece. Cheers

Bigjobbie the face room is very good and the most underrated part of poser 5. A lot of good don characters can be made also.
