It may suprise you (or indeed, it may not) that since I left Rosity last year I've still been dropping in here every now and then to check out the goings-on. And oh, my! There've been a few goings-on since last time, haven't there? I'm not gonna dig up my old quotes about how long I've been around the photo phorum, but it's a few years. It's had it's ups and downs, but I can NEVER remember it being this low..... in Cynlee and Misha we've lost two f**king good people, and now I see 'Chelle is throwing the rope back to shore and paddling out too.... (Unfortunately I see no reason to comment on other losses. I privately made my own comments at the time I left, and my Mom always told me, if I had nothing good to say....) Every time I come here I see new names. These people need examples to look up to. DB is one great person to fit that for a start. Respect. They need the knowledge and leadership you can offer. So people, make this the bottom, huh? Start pulling together and sort out the upward run. Ol' DB will need help up there, don't be afraid to offer to hold the ladder. (Hey, I know..... I'll come back and volunteer to be a Mod, huh?!? ROFLMAO) Seriously, come on.... (",) Mike

I don't know Jordy! But I've been around about as long as you have and I remember when we had a large run toward the exit door. The main difference in this set is that the current "regulars" are more polite and say why they are leaving. We have a lot of good talent here. Many of the regulars are professional or semi professional. Back when I joined I think there was three professionals. So while a lot may be stepping down. Notice I said stepping down NOT deciding never to return. I still think there are quite a few of the regulars which have a lot of good ideas and fun stuff to say. Clubs and groups always have some amount of attrition (sp?) and turnover so this is not unheard of. For me the strangest thing is that I was just starting to get the feel of this place again then there is a shake up. However as I mentioned that people are stepping down NOT stepping out. Which brings me around to yourself. Hey JordyART are you gonna hang out here or are you just gonna lurk in the shadows? Bsteph

Lol - Misha, Tedz, Thanks for the votes, but somehow I don't think the powers that be would stand me for more than a week ;-) Yeah Brian, I too remember that time or two when a few people went at around the same time (hell, still got the photo's I lifted from the thread!), but this one seems more acrimonious than then, and (unusually) this time there hasn't been a clamour to get to the hotseat. Tv, thanks for the greet ;-) I've had fun reading through your posts! I see you are one of the ones that sticks around and posts no matter what the climate - good!! It's people like you that hold the forum together when it hits that little icy patch! I don't know what threads have been deleted (if any) and therefore there's probably a couple of things I missed by not being here. S'got me interested though. I might hang around in the shadows a while ;-) (",) btw Tedz, did ye hear the aaful newz aboot Broon? Thiv awnly gone and shifted the brewin ov it ower the Tyne tiv the Fed brewers in Gatesheed!!! man, I'll so miss the smell of the hops driftin thru the toon..... that smell was the essence of Newcastle for me...

hey JA... your plea sounds vaguely familiar :] & no, i'm not really surprised to hear you've been lurking, missed your sarcasm & twisted humor it's a nice thought, seeing you as a coord, but the gag wouldn't look so pretty on you... but hey, i'd still vote for you too! :]

hey, Jordy! thanks for what you said! i'm not the kind of person who just runs away. conflict is a part of life, and i've found that you can't run away from it. if you try to, well, sooner or later it'll just catch up with you. i don't have a problem speaking my mind either during conflict. sometimes my mouth gets me in trouble though...always has...since i was a kid. at work, i'm the one who's always advocating for us "peons." I stand up for our rights and i stand up to those in authority when i feel like our rights are being stripped away. sometimes i can make a difference. sometimes i can't. i'm not usually someone who sits on the sidelines. i put on my helmet and get ready to be tackled! LOL! yeah, i'll be around...even if we're skating on thin ice!!! nice talkin' to ya!!! glad you're gonna hang around a bit! sheila

Jordy - I know what you mean. May be just my mood lately and things going on outside the forum, but I also feel it just beneath the surface here. Still feels like it's all being held together right now with chewing gum and baling wire; but that may just be me. Will say I miss ya here, bro (and not in a "come here and give us a cuddle and squeeze"-type of way). I never could understand how so many never got your sense of humor, but .. oh well. Hope you're sticking around. -=>Donald

Cyn, gags look ok on me, but only the leather ones ;-) You think they'd try gagging me? Pah. Mr Coordinator Sir, watch out for the grease on the 7th rung though...... snigger (",)
