I'm sure there's a simple way to do this, but I can't figure it out. I'm trying to create a scene in which an figure, after a few moments, suddenly appears in a flash. The problem is that when you import a Poser figure, it appears immediately in the scene. I would have to make all the materials,(and It's quite a few) transparent at the beginning, and make them zero transparent at the point I want it to appear. There must be a way (perhaps using the timeline) to import a Poser object and have it not appear in the scene until the point I want it to. Any help appreciated.

Well, the easiest is to do it with two keyframes for the whole figure. #1 is where the figure should appear and #2 is ONE FRAME EARLIER outside the camera view. I explain it in this order because this makes it easier to deal with it. First to position it properly and then shift it out of sight.

The easiest way is to say set a keyframe then select the whole figure and move slider say one second then make every bit of the figure transparent and then it will make it dissapear in front of your very own eyes essexboy

To be able to turn on and off and object in the timeline is something I have been asking for since version 3, maybe if a few more people ask for this...... videodv.
