I've only got one thing to say about faster rendering..... 1-0 ;)

i would never quit bryce as it is so user friendly for me... although saying that vue is also an excellent program but for me i use poser5 bryce5.1(eagerly awaiting 5.5)and terragen some of you probly only have time to concentrate on one thing but i like bryce because you dont have to wait until render is finished and watch your pc smoking unlike terragen which can take 3 days stick with bryce as well as others because for me nothing comes close
or in my case, jaw-clenching..;) I use Paint to format screen captures for posts, but that's about it..;)
waitaminnit, waitaminnit..pure Brycer?, Mr. Yafray hisself? fess up, Drac..;)

(Kicks the order confirmation for the Lightwave book back deeper under the desk)I have not now nor have I ever considered trying to use other apps apart from using them as add ons to Bryce. Pay no attention to _________ (Insert app name here: Blender, C4D, Maya Ed version, or Lightwave 7) being installed on this computer. As to Wings...they've come a hugely long way. I actually won a monthly challenge there once upon a time. Couldn't come close now.
You can all expect a visit from the Inquisition! Soon! well....probably in a week or two....

And in my final hours - I would cling rather to the tattooed hand of kindness - than the unblemished hand of hate...
The wind rushing across his face makes the young mans
eyes burn, yet he doesn't seem to notice amidst his excitement.
Rushing down the last path the lanky software developer
LEAPS from his bicycle, letting it crash into the bushes outside
the huge building. He hurriedly pushes through the
doors under the the huge "R"
insignia and sprints up the hallway.
People watch as he stumbles up 3 stairs almost losing
the the well guarded package. He starts screaming as he throws
open the doors under the Bright Blue "B",
"6,
IT'S HERE, 6,
IT'S HERE, 6,
IT'S HEE eeeeeerrree".
"Where is everybody"?

___
Ockham's razor- It's that simple
Looking around in momentary despair He starts to turn to leave Then he notices a small clutch of bone thin, gaunt faced, refugees in the corner Gnawing on old bones and muttering to one another Amidst the jabber he hears words like "crap" and "unbelievable" and the number "20" One of them stands and seems to notice the intruder Eyes shining with fervor the zealot stands, clutching what appears to be a long list of some sort, scrawled on aged parchment He approaches the newcomer menacingly, brandishing a wooden stake. ..oh wait, I thought this was the writers forum for a sec...sorry.
Well, I just bought maya 4 unlimited second hand for not a lot of money (44) - but the UI looks like someone chose where to put everything at random! :( - probably because I'm used to Max and Bryce which have nice easy UIs :)

Well, only temporarily, that is; Bryce will always remain one of my tools. But for the moment I'm studying Cinema 4D, mostly to replace my ageing RayDream 4.0 The interface was a bit overwhelming at first, but once I got used to it I was very impressed by it's capabilities and render speed. The link above is my first attempt on a complete scene, about 10 weeks after first opening the programme.
