There was a time of wonderful idealism. Then the flower would be fresh, not dried. The image is clean and unsoiled with faded memory of the realities. Yikes, getting weird on me here. Tom

" song popped into my head... bittersweet image with deep meaning... it's a wonderful entry* Tom!! (edit... had to look up the rest of the song)

Ah yes!! Beautiful compo and so perfect for the challenge IMHO! Now this is a HUGE social issue indeed!! The 'lil "wear a flower in ur hair" at the bottom of the image is so reminiscent of the 60's and adds such a nice "peace and love" feeling to the image!

Cyn, you is a freek - I thought that very same thing when I saw it and I'm a freek, so you MUST be too..... Tom, excellent image. Love the mixture of the colours, so close and yet distinct and yet mixed with the contrast of the textures. In fact, I have to admit this is one of those pictures that raised my eyebrows when I saw it. hmm. Damn fine. (",)

Beautiful photo. Love the warm colours. PS Errrr... are those hollow points? Hex bullets? Or the actual bullet is just taken out?

OK, I'm a little slow. When I first saw this on the "whats new" area I thought "what the hell, this guy is a little twisted". I just caught on to the challenge and Social Issue thing and hey, I get it! It really is a great photo. The color and lighting are purfect. The scene, heavy. Those do look like hollow points to me. J
