Yes the PS learning curve is very steep, and yes PSP will do all of what many people will need. There is however much more beneath PS than can be found or even experienced in a trial that lasts a month. OK granted the price of PS is ouch! That said it hasnt got to its status on hype, it has got there for its power and versatility. I had the same dilemma and in the end bit the bullet; I certainly dont regret it, although my pocket may have. The bottom line is, if you can do all you need to do with PSP then there is no need to go to PS.
I tend to feel if you combine two lesser priced together it is satisfactory. I just bought Elements3 and have had PSP8 since the upgrade from 7. Seems to do the trick nicely. ButI am sure after a learning curve and the emptiness of the wallet I would have liked CS too. Still could happen later down the road.

Steve, i'm gonna be trying PS Elements 2.0 in June i think...just to experiment like you. I still don't even know half the stuff on PSP yet. but we got PS Elements for free when we bought our tablet, so i might see if it has anything interesting on it. i will stick with PSP for sure though!!! oh, BTW, Steve, I've been meaning to ask about the babies!!!!! you been too busy running around at work to take any pictures of them???? :) if you have time i would LOVE to see!!!!!!! :)
Cannot be registered with Adobe, nor is it eligible for technical/customer support. as most are...I wold caution against putting these on your PC. We want to protect our cliente (customers/users) from fraud such as this where, you just know, they'll be back the day they get it, or before, bitching that it doesn't work correctly or cannot be updated etc... Some of these auction items actually fall into the warez category. So beware Alot of hacked and cracked stuff is sold on ebay, but if no one complains they leave it.

Yes the price hurts but there is no comparison for the real power of Photoshop Gerhard brings up a valid point you can get Photoshop 6 as long as it has not been registered and then upgrade that for far less money Elements three has nearly all the features you will ever need including Raw workflow and you will be learning to use CS when you upgrade

Hi folks. Well tried PS trial version. Ahh, well some might remeber the thread I asked this Q on, I asked some weeks ago about PS CS vs PSP upgrade. So I went of and tried PS CS trial version. Sorry but what a learning curve, But in the in the end PSP does all I want and the cost of of PS CS is so suptid. So guess staying with PSP. Steve
