Subject: Rendo's SQL Errors & A Question...

is it my end or Rendo's end when it happens? Second time in a couple of weeks for me so far, so, am wondering if I'm doing something wrong or not? :)

it's renderosity's mysql server dieing on them. concidering the size of the database, tuning it isn't a simple task and when the different servers get out of sync it kills it. I should go snag the webcast for tuning this type of db from mysql for them huh. ;)

by posting it exists they may go get it themselves to see how they may need to alter system to stop it. ~l~ it only takes the login server to die and kill entire site. yet putting it all into the same db creates a huge db, which is one file, and that could be so large it crashes the system, not just a program. postgresql is stronger for a site as large, but it's slower also. the entire script may need to start using different engines within mysql to function better. ( innodb is fantastic for reading the db ) speed up page flips, yet kill overhead for db calls.

whew ok, I was browsing the gallery this morning when it happened so I wasn't totally sure if it was me or Rendo's SQL server again. :)

Guess it was God's will. Stop posting pagan, skiffy, nudity, violence, gothic etc and this will happen no more. Either that, or else a new TOS (Temporary Out of Service) ;)

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)
