Not a whine about it but I'm slightly confused on what to do with Stepahanie...the image goes to one of my pictures than contains Vickie 3, Stephanie Petite and Laura...now in this picture Steph looks like a teen ager, but I normally had thought of her as an 18-20 year old, if I post pics with Steph showing breast is that against the TOS? Real opinions please.

I'm not the site police, but I don't see anything wrong with that image. I see 3 girls who appear to be in their teens. As for their manner of dress? Rather tame compared to how I see teenagers dressing today. I don't see anything sexual or lurid or pornographic when I look at that image.

In that image it's ok but the stuff I have tomorrow...is kinda...risque...is Stephanie a teen or an adult? I use her as both, but...site police are you here?

Well, if you know the image is "kinda risque", and you feel the need to question whether you should or shouldn't post it, then it's a good guess that it's probably something pushing the limits of the ToS and would probably not be something that is allowed anyway.

Almeidap and All.. Stephanie is an adult figure. Using her with nudity is fine (With nudity Flag).. Do remember that sometimes even a V3 character may look young.. And you may get questioned on what character you used if one of the team feels that the character looks young. :) If you have anymore questions.. Just ask! :) Ryuslilangel Poser Coordinator

From what I've been reading here, that doesn't seem to be happening though.

Much depends on the setting. I'd say Stephanie looks somewhere between 16 and 20 in your image. If you depict her topless or nude in a setting consistent with schoolgirl age, it will probably not be OK. But if the setting is more associated with mature situations, you should be OK. It also depends on how risque your image is going to be. Erotic or sensual is something I'd associate with adults, it may make her look somewhat older. If she's posed more childlike, you're probably in trouble. Probably the best thing to do is contacting a mod and submitting the image for approval. Takes some time, but it is definitely better than having the image pulled and getting a warning on your record.

You're answer was appreciated. Risque for me isn't that risque...my last 18 images are probably as risque that I'm willing to go here. Thanks all! Especially Arcadia! You always give great solutions!

Don't confuse me with "Arcadia" :) I registered here using "Acadia" (no R in it) 3 years ago and don't know if Arcadia came before or after me.

If it was after... do I get to claim "Copyright" infringment? ;) Message edited on: 03/28/2005 21:21

All the DAZ figures look young "out of the box". It's partly the quality of the skin rendering. The problem with Stephanie, compared to Victoria, is that she's short and doesn't have large breasts, both features we tend to assiciate with teenagers. I know quite a few adults who fit that desctiption, one of them in her fifties (and I just wished my body were in that good a shape). But what gives away her age would have to be modelled with texturemaps and bumpmaps, not, much, with the mesh.

Birddie ( ) posted Tue, 29 March 2005 at 6:36 AM

It's getting too confusing, what are we supposed to do? Not use these figures that we have spent money on because of their age or how young they look? I had planned on using Aiko and SP3 as well. :(

I think we're in the Crazy Years, unfortunately.

Hi Birddie, I had the same problem with Ingenue Vicki. I contacted a mod, sent her two links of representative images I did with Ingenue Vicki. The team checked those images and told me they were OK. MorriganShadow has been most helpful. My conclusion is that Ingenue Vicki will basically be regarded as a young adult and does not fall under the child image guidelines. It may be best to do the same with Aiko. Pick a representative image of your work with Aiko and ask the mods to review it.

To recap: If your model looks over 18, it's fine. If it looks under 18, it is in violation. I am sorry we cannot be more specific, but we cannot put a "blanket" rule on each different model, as you can morph a mesh to look any age. V3 can be morphed to a very convincing child (see Dodger's work.) Conversely, there are character packs which morph Laura (young teen) into an adult. S3P in default state does not look under 18, but if you morph her heavily, she can do. Aiko and other anime/toon figures: these stylised figures can have some of the facial characteristics of children (large eyes, small nose, large head, etc). However, they can be morphed to look like children. If you have concerns over an image and you're not sure if the figure would be thought of as underage, just IM a mod or coord and we'll be happy to review it for you. Karen
