Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 21 4:30 pm)
When a transparency map is applied, you won't see the part (eyebrows, eyelashes, pubic hair, etc) until the image is rendered. At least, that's how it works in P5. HTH!

Thanks for the reply. I knew that it would not show in the window, but even when I render it, the stuff still does not show up. That is why I think that I am doing something wrong. Or that I am doing something out of order. I really can't figure it out! Is there a process or something? Does the trans map have to go on before the skin textures? Or does something else have to be done, some kind of option set somewhere? I've played with it, but I can't come up with anything. Any other suggestions? :) Thanks.
which version of Poser are you using? And, is there a chance we could get a screenshot of the problem? It might help us help you a bit better. :D

The problem with the pubic hair may be that you haven't injected the hip morphs to V3. The area that the transmap applies to isn't on V3 until you inject the hip morphs

This will set all the body textures to No Freckles and set the tranparencies.
If you are still having trouble, go to the materials room and make sure your tranparent areas (eyebrows, lashes etc) look like this.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. I never thought of some of that. I will give it a try and see if it helps. And a question ofr Fuzagi. Does that mean that I HAVE to have her at the default? I wanted her to have freckles at least on her face. Does this mean that with freckes, you cannot have eyebrows? I thought that was the point of the trans map.
Thanks everyone, I'll give some of this a shot. Oh and I am using Poser 5.

Hey the pubic hair is fixed, thanks tastiger. But the eyebrows are still missing. If you want me to post a pic of her face, I can if you think it will help. Or if you need any other info? Should I just reset her to default and try again? I have the expansion pack too, that was where I was picking her eyebrow style. But they just don't appear. Thanks everyone.
:) glad its working Raven :)

Don't worry - I've been around since Poser 3 and the "inject pubic hair" morph had me stumped for a while with V3.... Had exactly the same problem you did...

Hello. I am having some problems with the Xtreme Close Up texture pack for V3. I know that it is not sold here, but I can't seem to get much help from Daz3d, so I thought that someone here might know what to do. I am having problems applying the transparency map to the figure. Therefore, I cannot get eyebrows to appear or pubic hair, or anything else that uses that map. I checked and it is in the tecture folder, so I was wondering if I was doing something wrong, or out of order. I was also wondering if the transparency even works in poser, or if it only works in one of Daz's programs or something. Thanks in advance. My steps are: Create the figure. Apply the textures to her body. Then turn transparecny on. (But nothing changes, no eyebrows or anything.)
