Sometimes lights disappear in the quadrant views which makes it hard to position them. Only when selected do the handles appear indicating where it is. As you'll see in the chopped-up screen shot, there are 13 point lights in this scene, but only one appears properly and the handles of the selected light in the plan view. Any idea why this is happening? Many thanks, Jackson

Here it happens from time to time - mostly when the video card memory has a sort of overrun. My guess. In your case it could be a question of scaling in general as well. I had problems with lights as well when the general scaling of my scenes was too small. Here i see the camera very big compared to the rest of the scene - when i interpretate the screenshot right. Is the camera scaled up here? And if, why? Or are the other objects so tiny compared to the camera. You should try to scale the whole thing up a lot more if that is the case and then see how the lights react to that. Let us know, then we maybe can help a little more.

Thanks Wabe, I generally import 3DS objects at 1:1 scale (same as Vue's plants, etc). Lights and camera are always at that scale for me (the model is of a house extension and I'd zoomed in close in the screen shot). As so often with Vue, I saved, closed and reopened the file and the problem was fixed. It's still a pain though. Thanks again, Jackson

I like to use the wireframe view, that helps me distingish parts better. Sharen
