Subject: Wonder Woman Set Confused...

onimusha ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 12:48 AM · edited Sat, 25 January 2025 at 7:28 AM

Okay, the set is awesome and I got most of it working, but some of it has me stymied. When I downloaded and unzipped it, there were three folders: Billy T: Costume, .obj's, textures, etc. Made it work. Kozaburo: Hair MT. Loaded it, made it work. Yamato: Had a weird folder with some injection poses that looked really weird when set to 1. Any idea how they're supposed to be used? Is there a Wonder Woman face? Also wondering what textures people think would work well and be "Wonder Womanesque". I have a bunch of Orion and Gwendolyn textures. Thanks...

Francemi ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 1:07 AM

In the Yamato folder there is the !Yamato folder that you must put in the Libraries folder (not in the pose but at the root of the Libraries folder) and there is another folder in the Face library that contains a FC2 file for Wonder Woman face. That fc2 file refer to the info that is in the !Yamato folder (like injection poses). France

How do you use the face files?

Francemi ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 1:37 AM

After you load V3, you go to the Face Library (Expressions in P5 and P6) and you apply the Wonder face to V3. It will work if you placed the !Yamato folder in the Libraries folder and I think you must have the head morphs for V3 (not sure though).

How did you apply the hair MT? When I try to apply it it crashes P6 and P5

onimusha ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 1:59 AM

Make sure you have the right hair figure loaded. Koz long (not long evo). It worked fine for me in P6, I simply clicked on the hair and then clicked on load morph target in the object menu.

YAY... I figured it out... Render on its way...

HAWK999 ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 2:31 AM

Tried again with the same result. Koz long (Long HairV3.cr2)-WonderHairMorph.obj are the files. Could be a Mac thing

Mac users usually need to use MacConverter, but otherwise almost everything except .exe files work for us. :)

The zip I got only included Billy T and Kozaburo stuff. I don't have a Yamato folder and no .fc2 files. Where do you get that?

Acadia ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 3:32 AM

It should have been in the download file you unzipped. Three separate folders.

Okay - that's odd. The files I got included the outfit an the hair morphs - but no face files. Did I get the samepackage as others?

Acadia ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 3:39 AM

Billy T folder had the clothes Kozaburo had the hair Yamato had the face It seems that one zip file handed out was missing the Yamato folder. I would suggest that you PM Kozaburo, he's the one who sent me my zip link, and let him know.

Ok, now I'm having some trouble. Where do I find the hair? I unzipped the file and put the folder called "Kozabro" (that's how it's spelled), into the Geometries folder but I can't find the hair in Poser. I looked in "character", "props", "hair"...and it's just not showing up.

Also, I have the Yamato folder in the root of the library folder, but I can't find it in Poser either. Where do I look for that? I found the face in "expressions", but if the face changed it's not noticable to me.

Install the "!Yamato" folder in your libraries folder. If it's there (with !DAZ folders for deltas), then the faces should work if they're in the face (expressions) folder.

Acadia ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 7:08 AM · edited Mon, 04 April 2005 at 7:09 AM

I've done that, but it the face looks like stoney-faced Vicky still. And there are what looks like hundreds of blank morph dials so I can't even change the face expressions.

What about the hair? Where do I look for that? I moved the Kozabro folder that I unzipped, directly to the geometries folder, but the hair is no where to be found inside Poser that I can see.

For the hair: 1) Load Koz Long hair 2) Click on load morph target in the object menu. 3) Where it says geometry file, you need to click on whatever browse button you have (P6's is just a button with three dots). Find the hair .obj files that you downloaded as part of WW. 4) Once you do that click okay. 5) Click on the koz long hair in your preview window. If you've selected the neck, there should be a new morph (with the default name of morph under P6) that will lift the hair away from WW's headband.

That's my problem....where do I find the hair in Poser 5? I can't find it anywhere. I put the unzipped Kozaburo folder into the Geometries folder but the hair isn't showing up in Poser.

This is the only file inside a 2 tier folder for Koz.... WonderHairMorph.OBJ Message edited on: 04/04/2005 08:16

Here is the relevant portion of my windows explorer showing the file layout. That is the only file that was in the Koz folder. It's an .obj file so I put it into geometries.

Can someone please tell me where in Poser I find it? The Billy T clothing shows up, but the Koz hair doesn't.

EDIT: Ahhhh! ok. I thought it all came with the zip file :) I have the long_evo hair, but not the other one. I do have several other styles from there as well and have bought some textures to go with one or two of them. Thank you for your help :) Oh, and I dug out my dial cleaner and got rid of all those blank morphs. There must have been 200 of them if not more.

LOL, stuck, again! The hair is on the head, I found the .obj file. The Label window it says "shape 1" but when I click "OK", nothing happens. I've never worked with this "load morph target before", and not sure I want to again, LOL

EDIT: Ok, you have to select the neck and not the head for the .obj part. I had "head" selected. Message edited on: 04/04/2005 08:46

Acadia ( ) posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 9:30 AM

There was an April Fool event put on by Billy T, Kozaburo, and Yamato. They made 3 items (goofy glasses, Namihei Hair, and a PJ outfit with shoes. You had to use all those items in your render and post it in the Gallery by a deadline date (passed). You can go to the gallery and search "Namihei" and see the results of what people did. The only way to get the Wonder Woman package, was to participate and post an image in the gallery.

if you made it by the deadline you should either get an e-mail or a IM or both. If not you may want to check with Koz, esp if your Rendo email is invalid.

That's weird, mine file does not contain .fc2 files either. I guess those were added to package a bit later, since now I'm downloading it once more and it is 400 kb bigger than before.

For some reason the face doesn't change when I apply Yamato's face file. I opened V3, went to the expressions folder and applied the face shown, but it didn't seem to change anything. Also, I tried the hair .obj but that didn't seem to do anything either. I put the hair on, conformed it, went to object, load morphs, found the .obj, clicked ok, and nothing happened. You can still see -the band is lost in the hair.

For the hair, you have to put the dial to 1.000 and I think it is the same thing for the face although I'm not sure for the face. But the hair, when you load a morph target, you have to "apply" it too. Once it is loaded, you go to parameter dials and move the dial besides the name you assigned to the MT to 1.

Ahhh, ok. I didn't know that. When I found the file, there was a name called "shape 1". I just left it and clicked "ok" and that was it. I didn't go to dial parameters and change anything. I did notice that the load morph object window popped up at the end when I was trying to close Poser and totally seized up my computer (I had to turn the computer off). I don't know if it was something I had done wrong with the file or not. That was the first time I ever used that load morph object feature.

Ok well this is the way it works: 1) load the model (in this case the Long Hair from Kozaburo (not the Long Hair Evo but the Long Hair) and go to Figure - Conform to - V3 2) Select the NECK of the hair then go to Object - Load morph target - Locate your MT and click OK 3) In the little popup box, give a name to your MT instead of Shape 1, call it Wonder, then click OK. This should close the box(popup) 4) GO to parameter dials and find the name Wonder in the Morphs section and put the slider to 1.000 (don't remember how many 0 there are in there) 5) This should work and you should see the result right there as it will move parts of the hair I think the face file works the same for the parameter dials. You load V3, apply the Face, go to parameter dial, find Wonder and put the slider to 1.000 then you should see the difference in the face.

I went back and tried it. I finally got the headband out of the hair, but still can't get the face to change. It remains the default Vicky 3 and messes up my dial parameters to give hundreds of blank morph dials. I have the face in "Expressions", and the .pz2 files in the very root of the library along with the !V3 folders from Daz. So I don't know what is wrong. Are you supposed to inject V3 head morphs first? goes off to run dial cleaner

No you're not supposed to do anything else. Maybe you need the extra Head morphs for V3 for that fc2 file to work. I don't know (I have them so I couldn't know). But at least you solved one of your problems. ;o) P.S. Are you sure you have V3 selected when you apply the fc2?

I have V3 and the head and body morphs. I load V3, make sure it says "figure/head", go to "expressions", apply Yamato's face file... and zip. The face still remains default V3. I tried applying: Hair, band, .obj morph and then the face, but that didn't work either. I also tried going to !V3 Expression INJ, first, but for some reason I can't get the face expressions there to apply either. But I can apply other character addons without a problem. So I'm stumped.

If you go to that thread and look at the top image posted, and then scroll down to near the end and click on Francemi's link, the faces look the same. You will also see an image of 3 renders I have done. Only a portion of the bottom part of the face changes...I think mid-face and below. Something definitly seems off.

You might have to Inject all the head morphs for V3 to make Face files work. That's at least what I always have to do. For some odd reason, the same head applies correctly if it's in a Pose file and doesn't require loading all the morphs.

Acadia ( ) posted Tue, 05 April 2005 at 5:39 PM

rreynolds, apparently the shape of the head did change, but what the difference is is that others applied a texture to their's and I didn't. I thought the Yamato file was a complete character addon, but it turns out it's just the face.
