I'm working on a set for Vittorio, who should come out eventually... The set consistes of a body texture set, a pits and pubes conforming figure, M3 Genitals redesigned for Vittorio fit with easy pose and new morphs, 7 JimBoi injection morphs, an Anime morph, and some summer clothing (speedos, etc.) There will also be poses for body color tone, sheen, and to hide various body parts. The texture set will consist of 3 body and face texture sets: little body hair, more body hair, and little body hair with tats. These are NOT photrealistic textures. They're made by combining the best of the royalty free textures, using Photoshop and the Real-Skin shader to improve effect. The final textures will work in all versions of Poser. Opinions? Suggestions?

Looks really good. My only comment would be that his wedding tackle looks sunburned. Granted, I don't have much experience with other mens' genetalia, but a quick check of my own indicates that they have pretty much the same skin tone as the rest of me.

Yeah. I did the tone wrong for the genitals. The main body texture is done, but I still have some work on the tackle. Thanks for the feedback, Orca!

Hi pdxjims, I think the body texture looks great. Get the tackle tone right and your good to go! Nice work. Clint

Jim, looks great !

Great work, man! The medium level of body hairiness is great ... many male textures either over-emphasize the hairiness or there's none at all. Looking forward to picking this one up.

Wow, love that. I particularly love the pits and pubes. Men should have hair in those places, dammit. ;) Good that you included a texture for the foreskin, a lot of people don't. Well, I think he looks really good. bonni

Yes, skin tone on the genitalia should match better... especially given that his lips and nipples are fairly pale. For some reason I'm reminded of a scene in the first Spiderman movie. ;^) Natural hairiness is good. Unless a person is rendering up really close, they usually don't need anything like a photorealistic skin. Carolly

Here's a better match on genital color. I also have done what I think is a better transmap for the pubic hair for the pits and pubes figure. This is the smooth version of the texture to accentuate the pubic transmap. The morphs are a combination of a couple of my JimBoi morphs, and David's Barbarian and SuperHero morphs. The hair is the old Daz Anime hair (whick I still love as style, and wish someone would do realistic textures for it).

Forgot to add:

I'm also adding a vein bump to the set. It's much more even than the other ones available, and the texture has a very slight blue-ish undertone where the veins are. Also, the pits and pubes morph for differing effects. The pits can be rotated to face the camera better, go wider and larger for a greater chest/shoulder span and musculature, and the pubes morph out, higher, wider, and can be made to more tightly fit to the base of the penis. The genitals are fully easypose, and has, uh, more specialized morphs than the stock set that comes with either the David or M3 genitals. Don't expect this set at Daz, it does go past their limit.

I like the textures. Any idea when and where this guy will be released?

pdxjims ( ) posted Wed, 06 April 2005 at 3:58 PM

Where? Vittorio will be released at Daz. When? Sometime in the next few weeks. He's ready and approved, but Daz has control over the release date. The morph/texture/clothing-genital-bodyhair set will be released within a week or two after that (I hope). It will not be at Daz, due to the more adult nature of pits and pubes and the morphing genitals. I'm hoping it can be released either here or at PoserPro's, but I'm not sure if the TOS at either place allows for genitalia as a product anymore. Of course, the longer we wait for Vittorio, the more free stuff I'll have done for him, and the more I'll add to his for sale product line. I have an extensive fantasy freebie ready for him, and am working on secord set of fantasy clothing that will be for sale. He's also got an Ultra Suit currently in testing at Daz that comes with a space helmet, boots, belt, and blaster (with 3 texture sets). The Ultra Suit has all the David FBM's (all David injections work on Vittorio), and all the included muscle morphs that come with Vittorio. All teh Virrotio morphs can also be used (to varying degrees of success) on David, SP3, V3, Aiko, and teh Aiko male, since the morphs use the common generic injection channels.

If you can't tie it in a lover's knot, it doesn't have enough morphs! JOKE! Don't hit me! I wonder if a lover's knot would be against TOS? Anyway, this looks a lot better, and the same with the pubic hair trans map. As for release dates... from DAZ? They are releasing their Aiko3 male right now, and until that push is over, and they have nothing else competitive, we'll just have to wait. Carolly

Here are the 4 eye textures with the set, along with the facial hair texture. How does it look? Side note to the beloved Carolly: I tried the lover's knot, but there aren't enough segments in the figure. I'll work on it for you (grin).

hauksdottir ( ) posted Fri, 08 April 2005 at 8:26 PM

LOL! Maybe a slipknot and a little massage oil? OK... all kidding aside... There almost appears to be 2 layers of eyebrows? Dark over light... it makes the brows look a tad too symmetrical, too. The eye colors are nice, except the sapphire blue is a touch too intense to be realistic. Good for elves and other non-humans, though. (You might have 4 colors which are realistic and 2 which are saturated, such as a red and a purple.) The highlights aren't painted on, I hope. If the inner-nostril shadow is part of the texture map, the edge should be softened a bit. (It doesn't appear to be on the upper images.) He has a very hopeful appealing look... so we are looking forward to him... he can wear the V3 morphing fantasy dress, which has male morphs, IIRC? One of the projects on my to-do list is to make that a dynamic outfit. There are a couple of good science fiction and sorceror textures for it. (OK, maybe YOU don't see him as a computer necromancer bringing entire economies to their knees, but the freshest face often conceals great cunning and power.) Carolly

pdxjims ( ) posted Sat, 09 April 2005 at 8:07 AM

Hmmm.... As always, Carolly makes the best suggestions. The eyebrows are all painted with JPeter's brushes and aren't really symetrical, although there is a slight 3 color variation to give a more realistic effect. I'll look at them again. I'll try to do a toned down blue, and a couple of more intense colors. There is a very, very slight highlight on the iris. Most of the highlights in the pics above comes from a reflection map on the cornea in P5. Vittroio takes all the V3 male clothing and V3 clothing with male morphs. The Fantasy gown works great on him.

Well, it is easy to see what might need to be tweaked in other people's work. We just get so close to those pixels after a while, that another pair of eyes is useful. I have a neighbor and a couple of colleagues and my former art director whom I can trust to give honest evaluations and suggestions. If you do saturated colors for the non-humans, you might want to color the eyeball itself a little. I'm thinking of the spice-eating navigators in Dune, but there are other examples. Jaundice isn't a matter of fiction. As for the hair in brows and moustache, it almost seems that you need a few stronger strokes to balance with the fuzziness and give it more direction. And I don't think there are as many hairs in the philtrum directly under the nose as there are next to it on each side of the upper lip... but I don't shave. ;^) Carolly
