Cactus sounds like a good idea, although what's happening here is with the flow of your wall material. The layout of the scene tells us there is an inside 45 degree corner, yet the material disguises any hint of a corner. If you place a vertical support beam imbedded in the stucco ( a large vertical crack would work too), it'll allow your poncho and whatever else is on the shelf to carry the viewers eye. Nice scene! I would do something about the wall.. everything else has a very realistic feeling about it but the wall texture dont keep up with it.. I would make the cracks smaller or use another bump and maybe light up the wall abit.. then if you put a pot with some sort of plant in it on the shelf it would be a nice effect when the green mets the wall.. But thats just me.. and for the corner effect just rotate your light dome abit and I bet it does the trick for ya

Hmmm...the wall is actually a rounded corner although the shading doesn't convey that well enough. In this last render I re-ordered the pots and some of the shadows changed which further decreased the "rounded-ness". I think I can downplay the texture in post but I'll fiddle with a cactus up there too. Rod, many times it's easier to draw it than to 'splain it so, no fish beatings today ...if I was going to bean you with a fish it'd have to be a herring anyway...those things can even cut down trees, or so I'm told.
I'm with ICM on this one. Nice work though.
