Want to make your own dynamic dresses and skirts, but only a beginner at modelling? Try this. It's a morphing prop based on Thip's QuickSuit (with his agreement) - you can cut it up and make a simple dress in a matter of minutes. Tutorials covering basic modelling and a bare bones cloth room introduction are linked from the download page. I haven't linked it to the rest of the site yet; any feedback will be welcome before I do that.

Wow, thanks. Are we allowed to redistribute the clothes we make with this?

EnglishBob ( ) posted Tue, 12 April 2005 at 5:27 AM

Yes, anything you make is yours to do with as you wish, as long as you don't try to make your own version of V3 with it. ;)

LOL! Not bloody likely. Thanks, I'll have to try playing with this.

Wow - that's quick! Thanks for the feedback, it's good to know that I'm not the only one who can make it work. You are officially the first to post the results of their work, so you get... Well, nothing, sorry, just gratitude. ;) You can find the QuickSuits at Rena's Lair - there are some at PoserStyle as well.

Is there a way to use this with Natalia? Does anyone know what programm can stretch a cloth to another figure's shape? Also I remember this can be done with Cloth room, has anyone tryed this? pitklad

SergeMarck has some tutorials on doing that, in varying degrees of complexity. In brief: if you start your simulation with the figure smaller than the dress (as you should), and end it with the figure slightly bigger than the dress, the dress will stretch to accomodate the figure.

I do it all the time. (That's svdl's dress for V3, stretched to Victoria Vixen and the DAZ Troll.)

It's one of the things I love about the Cloth Room. No need to buy all new clothes for a new figure. :-)

LOL. Yeah, Cloth Room rocks, no doubt about it. It's the way Poser clothing was supposed to work.
