Is it just me that thinks its a little much of Lolita/child-vibes in this "product". I saw the ad-banner for it and got curious.

It's just you - but don't worry: find enough people that thinks like you, and perhaps the TOS will become more restrictive again... ;)

I might be to sensitive. Thanks for enlighten me. Just wanted to ask for other opinions.

I was joking, as attested by the ironic smiley...

Popcorn time again? I'm going to get fat with all these threads!!

LOL at LornaW...I would suggest beer...but in the US it's only 10:15am a bit to early to add beer to the menu LOL.... I know you have to be kidding Stoner...I see NOTHING sexual/perverted/nefarious or any other descriptive word that fits this bill.

Well that's that thing about going by how old a character "looks" isn't it? Since it appears differently to other people.

Probably should have an identification to make sure. If you register them in Meredithland that would avoid a lot of these kind of problems since those were the best ID's I've seen so far

Seems to be a different set of TOS rules in the MP then in the galleries. ;)

If you're talking about the Misaki character, I don't envy the task confronting the admins regarding anime/manga characters. They are designed and intended to look like young girls, and Westerners may become confused, due to the way it's inculcated into Japanese culture. So my guess is that if they get enough complaints or this thread turns ugly, they will have to make some hard decisions. But there's no hysteria apparent in this thread yet, unlike the typical TOS threads, which always degenerate into freak shows. Maybe if this thread remains civil and sane, they will be able to leave this one alone.

Maybe if this thread remains civil and sane, they will be able to leave this one alone. shhhhhhhhh, don't give em any ideas. I have seen a lot of banners with younger characters and wondered why that was ok and some things weren't? I'm still weary about putting Aiko back up in my gallery.

"I have seen a lot of banners with younger characters and wondered why that was ok and some things weren't?" They werent nakid. :) Younger characters are fine as long as they are clothed. We dont allow any nudity in the banners. FYI, Clint

Hi Stoner, Thanks for the information. I removed the 2 promotional images that presented the character in the nude. FYI, Clint

But what if they are 'provocative'? Should that not be as bad as naked? When you see a young girl with a mini skirt up to the crack of dawn or legs parted ever so seductively or with Lolita like faces looking like they are hungry for milkshakes, is that not just as bad if not WORSE? Okay now, back to the Amityville horror remake. Heard from a couple of people that saw it this Weekend that this latest remake really is very bad, only thing missing was the ghost of a naked Jar Jar Binks!! At least that would have been shockingly sick enough to make folks puke Excorcist style!

"...or with Lolita like faces looking like they are hungry for milkshakes..." I'm heading to Burger King, need anything?

LornaW ( ) posted Mon, 18 April 2005 at 4:20 AM

Sure, get me a BLT combo with a baked potato, double butter, and a nice cold orange pop to wash it all down with. Check the toys, if there's anything fun enough to play with, get me one!

I do not think Misaki copied Meradith. The first Meradith picture was uploaded in feb 2005. Misaki was uploaded in 2003. in some ways she looks like something made for clay animation at least to me. she looks like a teen or a college girl. Some people think I am a teen till I tell my age. I am in my 20's. I do not see any tos violation. I am thinking about getting her but do not know if she will fit in with my other figures.

"When you see a young girl with a mini skirt up to the crack of dawn or legs parted ever so seductively or with Lolita like faces looking like they are hungry for milkshakes, is that not just as bad if not WORSE? " Why would there be anyting bad with that (or with nude images either)? Such an image does not harm anybody. Banning the images does harm both the artist and the viewers. Thus, banning the images is bad. I never stop wondering what is in the mind of those people who are on crusade against art. What is the reason for the crusade? Is it just that they want to hurt other people? This thread is an example of the fact that the crusade never stops. When they manage to ban something, they continue trying to create even more ban and stricter rules. In the end, you will notice that the only images allowed are some abstract images such as ornaments (as it used to be in some muslim countries).

"I never stop wondering what is in the mind of those people who are on crusade against art. What is the reason for the crusade? Is it just that they want to hurt other people?" It is that they prefer to find the "wrong" in what surrounds them, that looking inside and finding that there's something VERY wrong in their minds...

***It is that they prefer to find the "wrong" in what surrounds them, that looking inside and finding that there's something VERY wrong in their minds...*** Isn't that the classic cycle of denial, repression and projection? The denial of desires that are uncomfortable to deal with, then the repression of into the subconciousness and projecting the blame for them onto others. The most classic example was Cotton Mather with his zeal to punish the wicked to stop his own desires. Apparently the same zeal continues even online

"Crack of Dawn"? I thought it was the Crack of Doom! The figure looks suitable to me - clothed or otherwise. And the thread is gettin' ugly again...!

LornaW ( ) posted Thu, 21 April 2005 at 12:08 AM

"Why would there be anything bad with that (or with nude images either)?" Nothing at all whatsoever if they aren't suggestively very, very young to way too young. If this forum is being kept clean of this suggestive stuff then should the ad banners and other areas not also be included? "And the thread is gettin' ugly again...!" It's only ugly if you let it get ugly. Still waiting for my BLT combo.
