Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 30 6:52 am)
As I understand it, some materials will cause the underlying geometry of a procedural terrain to change, altering the terrain's shape. To prevent this Vue offers to add some nodes to the function which controls the procedural terrain's geometry in order to retain the shape.
So normally you would answer yes to this if you want to keep the shape of the terrain you have made.

I am experimenting with procedural terrains in Vue5 and although I have managed to get the hang of creating a realistic terrain I am not sure how you apply a texture to it. When I try to add one of the standard rock or landscape textures from the materials palette in Vue I get the message shown in the picture. What exactly does this mean? Some textures produce this message and some don't. Am I supposed to click Yes, No or Cancel? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
