I am trying to import poser animated figures from Poser 5 into Vue 5 Infinite and populate them. My first figure imports ok and appears in the material Browser.I then import the second figure ok and that appears.I then put in the number I require that being 6 of one and 10 of the other.I then hit populate.They don't seem to appear in the scene at all and second when I go to render, the system locks up and I get the wretched out of memory banner.I have only so far tried to import two Daz hi res characters with limited props .What am I doing wrong? Any help appreciated.arrow1

From what I know you cannot input the number of instances required directly in the ecosystem; 'scaling', 'orientation', 'presence', etc... you can. (but 'presence' does not equal final number of items.) could you post a screenshot of where you type these numbers ?

I have also tried the tutorial with Vue objects.I cannot get this too work either.I have posted screen shots.arrow1

AFAIK, the presence fields is more of a scale, not an absolute. For example, in your image the Cazal would be 4 times more likely to appear than the Primrose. If I am wrong, then please let me know.

I have tried to follow the tutorial over at e-on with the cars but it doesn't work for me either.The manual is hopeless for dummies like me! I am a visual person! Are there other settings and adjustments to be made that I don't know about for populating objects into the eco system? arrow1

I don't think using an infinite plane will work. If you think about it, then no matter how sparse the population is, it also would be infinite. Use a regular plane and make it big enough to cover the area you want.

I am Starting to get the hang of this thanks to all the kind patience and generosity of the Vue and Poser forum.I have one question? In jwhitham's tutorial on his animation script he says "First off assess how far the full scale figure to be used in the EcoSystem travels per second, in Vue logical units. This is needed to correctly synchronise the figures strides with ground covered" I am at loss to know what he means! Can anyone show me how to do this? I seem to be ok with the rest of the tutorial.
