Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 13 6:58 am)
I am just guessing but maybe you can break up the scene into multiple poser imports. Then import each poser object into a blank vue scene. Then save the imports (after adjusting the materials)into vobs. Repeat the process for all the poser imports. Then when you are done import all the vobs into your main scene.
Since you have Vue Infinite, there is one more step you should consider when saving and importing poser objects separately : - load your poser objects one at a time - use Bake to Polygons to turn your objects into a single 3D mesh - then use Decimate (ouble click on the object to bring up the option). This will allow you to reduce the number of polygons in that object. I recently imported a 3D polygonal curved mesh from Amapi into Vue. The original object was 56 M. After Bake to Polygon and Decimate, the saved VOB object was only 8 M. It is well worth a try !
About 1 hour overall... I had to try a few times bcause I was flirting with the limits of my memory and Vue kept crashing. One more trick - set the number of Undo to 1 or 2 - you will save a lot of memory that way.
Hi, From my limited experience ... and what I've read on the E-On forums ... Vue 5i seems to have a problem with large texture maps. Try reducing the textures to 1000 pixels in the largest dimension. I know this is a pain, because it means saving a new, lo-res version of all of your Poser textures and then reapplying them, but it will reduce the file sizes and make Vue much happier. Also try using one of the morph management tools to get rid of morphs you are not using. There are good tutorials at daz3d.com about morph management. I doubt it is the polygon count of the models. Good luck. - Dave B.
