Subject: simple P5 magnet question

just trying to figure out how to control which body parts a magnet is applied to. i have loaded a magnet designed by someone else that applies to the abdomen, but it looks funny to have the effect end abruptly at the line where the hip starts, so i want the magnet effect to apply to both the abdomen and hip for a continuous effect. i thought i remembered seeing a tutorial on magnets here that explained this, but now i don't see one. i'm sure this is a simple thing. thanks for the help!

If you select the magnet, you will see a button in the properties box that allows other body parts to be added within the magnet's effect radius. ;D

I believe that Wyrmmaster gets the credit for discovering the following: It works better if you create a second magnet for the hip (In this case) but position everything exactly where the abdomen one is (base, zone and same magnet settings). The reason is joints. If you bend the abdomen too far, the zone will slip off of the hip and create a horrible distortion, but under this set-up the hip mag stays with the hip and keeps it all flowing beautifully. All functional magnet sets are built on this premise. -WTB

Magnets for all, that's what I say! They are a delight once you get 'em. Shameless Plug while I'm here: Universal Magic Mags in the marketplace. Mags made easy for nearly any poser figure. -WTB

WTB is right about using double mags. It's a terrific way to beat the weirdness on bending. But you don't need to do it if you're only making a morph and then removing the magnets. Just do as madmax said :) Magnets for all ..... damned fine idea WTB :D I don't know how people live without them ;)
