Hi guys, looks like there's a bit of robot-fermenting in this period. Thanks to kemal and his link to robota, I decided to finish my neverending WIP. This is my robota... nearly finished (for image I had in mind since 1976). BEfore you asked it, yes the textures are inspired from I-robot movie (which I did not see), but the transparent texture is perfect for showing my work. and now... comments crits and suggestion please. p.s. it is modeled in rhino and rendered in bryce

thx guys, @ICM.. well I was born in 1976, it was just a joke :P @Erlik I used Rhino 3D to model it, and I learned a lot of stuff for optimizing surfaces for exporting!, first time I exported it it was around 70Mb... too much errors in the model.. now is around 20Mb I'll keep you updated cheers.

Make sure you use the advanced meshing options in Rhino. Do not check Refine mesh or you will have WAAAAAAAY too many polys.

You can also take Rhino meshes into UV Mapper Pro or classic, and then save it out. Make sure the "Don't export normals", and the "Don"t export uv mapper regions" boxes are CHECKED and your model will be approx half the size of the one you imported.
