Do a search within this forum for "Geep." He's the tutorial master. I know he's done at least one on lighting.

Before they made me they broke the mold!

I really wanted to reply with "Hello Dr. Nick" based on the subject line. But that would have been OT and a bit obscure...

Hi JoArtist:-)

If I understand your question correctly, then what you want is not easily available in Poser 5.
I THINK that what you want to do is put a light source inside a bulb and/or a lampshade, and have it work as a light source.
Alas, P5 does NOT have a point-light (a light from a single point) available - a major omission!
The best work-around I have seen involves using 6 spotlights, arranging them such that each points away from the "source" at 90 degrees on all axes, and setting each so that it covers a 180 degree spread. Difficult to explain in words, but imagine a sphere; put all 6 spotlights at the same point in the centre of the sphere, then rotate them one by one so that you end up with spotlights facing left, right, back, front up and down.
Use numerical entry to get precise positioning.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,
Diolma
(edited to correct "axis" from singular to plural ("axes") and it STILL looks wrong! It's not though..)
