Subject: Attention Clothing Merchants: Create Morphable Trousers for M3/D3

DIMENSION_X ( ) posted Tue, 31 May 2005 at 1:23 AM · edited Thu, 23 January 2025 at 10:23 PM

I am looking for a clothing merchant that can create for me trouser / shorts that a morphable for animation purposes. Basically unzipping/unbuttoning and pulling down trousers either sitting or standing. Their seems no clothing for M3/D3 that caters for this so far unless anyone knows of any. Willing to pay!!

In my many attempts at Poser clothing, I would love to incorporare such morphs. At DAZ, the Jeanz set does have unbutton/unzip morphs, but I am not aware of pulling up/down morphs. It would be easiest to do so in the standing position, as you can use magnets in the Y-direction to pull the pants down, and create a morph wheel that way. You might want to ask Jim Burton, he is the resident god of clothing morphs. -The Starkdog

Just another thought. You might be able to make a pair of dynamic pants, and choreograph them, using magnets to deform the pants prop at certain keyframes and do a clothing simulation. At the end of the keyframes(100 frames or so), constrain the ankle of the pants to his ankles, and re-run the simulation. The pants should be piled up at his feet. Now, you would have an animation loop of the pants unbuttoning and sliding down his legs, and it would look credible, as the pants are dynamic. I will experiment, and get back to this. -The Starkdog

I may be crazy, but in my surfing sites looking for files, I swear I saw a figure with his pants around his ankles in some promo image. Unfortunately I can't remember which site, or what it was that was being sold. So there must be some pants out there that do what you want.

I think Geralday made a "pants around the feet" once. Can't remember if it was a prop or a real conforming set of pants though. Starkdog, interesting idea of contraining different parts, that may be why all my previous attempts has failed. Then again, I'm not exactely a master of the Cloth Room LOL

The pants around the feet is by Geralday but specifically for P4 male not Daz M3/D3.

Starkdog my attempts have also failed and Dynamic clothing would be interesting but I have found problems trying that way. I would prefer to use conforming clothes that I can better manage the animation the way I need to. I will IM Jim Burton on this.

I still will offer anyone that is can do this for as a project for me and anyone else that wants this.
