Well, your postings got me (a hard core Brycer) to visit the Vue forum. It's good to know it works on your program. I had one beta tester try it on several 3D packages but you never know how they will respond. I am working on the next version, which is a trunk maker (slowly growing the tree up!). If its worthwhile, I can post to Vue free stuff as well. Rich
Hi Rich! By all means, please do post it to the Vue Free Stuff. :) And thanks fo rthis, even though you meant it for Brycers, we can all attest that it works great in Vue. 3D Exploration shows it as opening with the normals inverted, but that's easy enough to fix by making it double sided. For that matter, I don't think Vue even cares about it one way or the other. I tested a few stumps out in Amorphium, and I was immediately surprised that Amorphium loaded it, because Amorph doesn't ever seem to like anything, LOL! But, hey, that's really a great little app there, and I know we are all highly appreciative, so thanks again! :) --Mike PS I have Bryce 4 too. I'm still kind of slowly learning it, but I haven't tried the stumps in Bryce yet.
Mike, Thanks for the info. Poser also loads the stumps with normals inverted, but it has a check box to correct it as well. A question: anybody know a free site that allows direct linking to zip files? At 3D Commune, free stuff allows you to post an htm link. Here at Renderosity it only allows a zip file (as far as I know). I've had problems with my site (in fact it was down for over a week until today) because of too much traffic through a direct link. Rich
Hi Rich, Yes, please do post to the Vue Freestuff when your next project is ready -- assuming Bryce is not required, of course. Vue readily imports OBJ, 3DS, DXF and a couple other formats. I check the Bryce Freestuff (for OBJ or 3DS items) only very rarely -- maybe once or twice a year -- and that's how I just happened to discover your cool program fortuitously! :) As for the free website to meet your needs...well, I was going to suggest Homestead...but uh...I guess that wouldn't help! :x

Those of you who frequent the Bryce forum here probably already know about this, but for those who don't...like me!...I just happened to browse through there tonight and found a cool little program (PC and Mac versions) for making OBJ format tree stumps. RG (Rich) has posted his program in the Bryce Freestuff. More info in RG's Bryce forum message. :)
