Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 12 11:30 pm)
WW is way way better, not to knock Marks software, he makes some great stuff, but WW is awesome....i'll give you an example, i have a ninja set for M3, pants, jacket and hood, i ran all 3 through WW and converted them to David, doing the conversion is easy, nothing to it BUT i then went to bed and in the morning thought i'd convert to a few others, WW remembers the settings and in about 20 minutes i'd converted the sets to SP3, V3, Freak, Aiko, Hiro and the girl....Steve

Head on over to PhilC.net He and Kamilche wrote it. It's a fantastic program. I haven't had the opportunity to use Clothing Converter, but I was going to. Then I got in on the Beta with WW. I was totally blown away. It does all of the conversions for you. Very little effort is involved. (Jeez, this sounds like a promo, huh?) Seriously, it is worth the money. There is a demo version on Phil's site as well, so you can try before you buy.ONly problem with WW is that it doesn't handle Aeon figures, though there may be ways to work around that. You also need P5 or 6 to run it since it heavily uses Python script. By the same point CC2.2 has a few kinks in that it may not convert certain things properly (I loaded up a set of boots last night and they exploded when I put them into Poser). Both have their strenths and weaknesses. I would probably recomend WW if you have the right version of Poser.
ONly problem with WW is that it doesn't handle Aeon figures WW can (and will) include other figures, they just havent gotten the base files written for the multitude of requested figures. I think they are prioritizing base on the poll at the yahoo WW group site.

If you are doing or want to do mostly converting to the Animi figures it works great from the posts on the forum. But the success ratio of the Daz figures, as far as I've been able to convert, is runnining 40/60. It may convert 4 out of 5 pieces of an outfit and won't touch the 5th. Or it will say it converted but fails the final fitting stage. @steveshanks If you get a chance, see if you can convert you V2 Saloon Gal Bloomers and fit on Laura. Looks like she's wearing a cod piece. Is WW worth getting? Yes. Your success ratio will be based on the quality of the clothes and the figures you try to convert to.
I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
I think I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't get good results out of WW. nope, I'm right there with ya.

I didn't get good results either Xena. My interest in WW was to convert my own original clothing to other figures and frankly I don't think that what I came up with was redistributable, for sale or otherwise. That being said, some users have had good success with this plug-in so I do consider my results to my own experience. I wish PhilC and Kamilche the best of fortune with progressive versions.

As far as I remember, DAZ offers a programm named Clothes Converter. Doesn't do it the same as Wardrobe Wizard?
Which one is better?
