Due to the incredible response to our new Hexagon software, we have extended the introductory price promotion through Friday, June 3, 2005.

The Box version of Hexagon in now available, so you have your choice between the electronic download version (with a CD-on-Demand option) or the box version for the same price.

To recap the introductory pricing:

$99 / 99 for Eovia software owners*
$169 / 169 for new Eovia customers
*(owners of a valid license of Carrara any version, Amapi Designer, Amapi Pro, Amapi 3D v6, except free versions)

If i recall, there is absolutely no difference between the download version and the boxed version other than the physical box and CD. The manual is a PDF file that is included on the CD. The only other difference is you don't have to pay for shipping, and you get it earlier.

Playing around with Hexagon in my few spare hours. This weird head was an export-and-render to see how nicely Hexagon would play with Carrara.

Is that true... a PDF manual with the boxed version? That's the only reason I would want the boxed version - if it had a printed manual. I had fun playing with the demo today. I don't understand it all (I'm a die-hard spline modeler) but it looks pretty easy to learn. Chuck

I'm a pretty rigid spline modeler myself but I have some Amapi experience. I've found several things to be similar to Amapi and I'm reading the manual. -Kix

One of the absolute best features of the Hexagon program is it's .pdf manual. There are tons of embedded movies to watch that makes learning it really fast. I've always been a "show me" person, so seeing the program and tools in action eliminates many questions. It is very similar to Amapi in some respects, so if you have some experience there, it will translate. Hexagon is just so much more pleasant to use for non-technical modeling (think mathmatical precision)than Amapi, though! :)
