Have you done mobius's tutorial (link attached)? I find that the easiest to follow. Then when you've got the reflection set right, save it to your materials library so that you can use it again in future, tweaking slightly if necessary for different effects. Hope that helps :-)

I set this up in Poser 5...haven't tried it in Poser 6 though. In the Materials Room select the object, then select the material on the object that you want to be reflective. Then create the nodes outlined in the screen capture, IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE RAYTRACING IS TURNED ON Sorry for yelling, render time will probably double or triple depending on how many raytrace bounces you use, but it should come out alright.

I just tried this out in P6 with no problem. This is just a quick setup with infinite lighting, 4 raytrace bounces and 300ppi. Overall a fairly high quality render so you can see how this looks before you go to all the trouble of setting it up. Personally I just got it set up and saved it to my Library pallete so its there whenever I need it. Oh, sorry about the nudity...she's a difficult woman to dress.

Lz2483 I'm so not getting that effect with the values you've shown in your screen shot. If I reduce the softness in all the reflect nodes to 0 or some other very low numbers, then I get it. Anybody else? Or do I just have a crazy backwards version of Poser?

Rothrock, I probably should have clarified that the above node setup is only intended as a starting point, since there are so many variables involved in setting up a reflection, what works in one scene may not work as well in another, although it should be pretty close. In addition to node set ups your render settings, lighting and materials used can all affect the result. As an example, here is another node set up that is very different but provides similar results.

I think that you can simplify the way you've got this setup.

First, you only really need one Reflect node, which can be plugged into muliple inputs on the PoserSurface (if you really need to).

Second, I'm not sure why you're plugging a Reflect node into the Reflection_Value input.
This can be just left at 1.0, no node required.

The linked thread shows that only one Reflect node is really necessary.
