Also, make sure that Poser is not running while editing - it will not take.

There must be something wrong with my wordpad. I checked and my p6 compression is not checked. I also looked at the properties of the cr2 and dont see that it is write protected. I also tried editing after closing down poser completely. It still wont let me edit the file. Is there someplace else to check to see if it is write protected? I checked the properties after right clicking the file in windows explorer. I am running windows xp. Thanks for the suggestions!!! Lonni
Maybe it's too large for WordPad. I'd use something else. Personally, I use UltraEdit32. There is also a free editor called NoteTab Lite. Don't use Word, NotePad, or WordPad.

Ewww, WordPad.
Use CR2Builder instead :)
Get it here Use the one labeled "CR2Builder02h18.zip (h18) Feb 14, 2004".

Hello! I am trying to edit a cr2 file which was created with poser 6. When I open the file in wordpad, everything looks fine, I just cant type anything in the file. I cant make any changes to the file at all. Its like a lock is on or something. Does anybody know what to do to get this to work? Thanks Lonni
