Hi again :) I made a animation, placed a tree from vue 5 inf and activated the wind / breeze option in the Athmosphere but the tree or the flowers dont move!? Is there anything I need to set or did I make a mistake? Thank you for your help!

enable wind in the ATMOPSPHERE settings, adjusto taste on the screen you should see a BLUE triangle near your plant, this is for direction and strength of the wind drag it where you wish the wind to blow TO, and how hard, note you should NOT move it too far because it's quite powerful influence, the plant reacts in real time in the window, check the main window to see how big the effect is to prevent it being looking like a hurricane ;) youc an see the effect here, have fun! :)

thats odd Only works with Vue Plants, NOT imported objects :) I'm unsure on hwo ecosystems work with wind though. yah all plants are affected by wind, will post screenshotsin bit to show :)

The manual says you can't animate ecosystem plants with wind. On ly breeeze. So if you enabled breeze in the atmosphere tab, your plants should be animated. Maybe you need a stronger breeze, I haven(t tried animating yet, so this is only guessing from the book.

You didnt have breeze activated? Only wind? But why breeze preview? Should I activate both? I will try that. Thankyou very much

silverblade33 ( ) posted Tue, 21 June 2005 at 9:07 AM

if i had lots of plants/ecos then I'd activate breeze :> was just showing you quickly :) you wont SEE the effect unless you animate, or turn it off and render then turn on and render again then compare as it's an effect occuring over time and over multiple plants if you look carefully at the plants you adjust wind for you'll see them respond in real time in the view ports :)
