Here's my latest. It's supposed to be sort of a stone texture, which I guess it is. It looks like stone when it's applied to an actual rock. This is the first texture in a set of textures I'm putting together to try and sell on DAZ. Let me know what you think! =)

Here's a moon surface one. It looks pretty tolerable applied to a sphere as a celestial body, as well. =) EDIT: Hopefully my other textures will be up in free stuff soon. There's been a slight complication; hopefully they'll be up and running in a few days or less. =)

Another one, this one a rocky sandish texture. =) I'm not as satisfied with this one as with the previous two, I might have to do a bit more work on it.

marcfx ( ) posted Fri, 24 June 2005 at 3:03 PM

Perhaps the rocky bits are too round but it doesnt really matter as the mats will always be used for something, these just make them unique!

marcfx-- lol I guess that's just the way the stones are there. =) Imagine, an entire beach full of perfect skipping stones!!! =) Paradise to be sure... Thanks for your encouragement..

marcfx ( ) posted Fri, 24 June 2005 at 4:05 PM

Your welcome. Knowing my luck the water would be to high and skipping stones would end up being skipping waves! I reckon you should carry on with another mat and leave this in the set. Marc :)

"Imagine, an entire beach full of perfect skipping stones!!! =) Paradise to be sure..." LOL! I once found a beach like this (was on a 1-day stay with work), and... the surf was up. No skimming possible:-((( Cheers, Diolma (Ain't that life?!) PS - Nice textures!

This one was supposed to be some sort of radioactive sludge. Now it looks more like a forest landscape seen from a distance to me... You've gotta help me here. What the heck is it? =) diolma-- I should just name the texture "skipping stone sand" and leave it at that. =)

This new one looks like lichen and moss on a granit rock to me. Still looks a great package building up here. well done and keep um commin!

Here's another rock. This was a texture made entirely with Bryce terrains, no DTE work whatsoever. =)

Just a heads-up: My previous textures are now available in my free stuff. Many thanks to draculaz for hosting them for me! =)

jocko500 ( ) posted Fri, 24 June 2005 at 7:51 PM

maybe you can change the colors to look more radioactive I just guessing. In the leo you can bring in plug-ins to play with the textures too just try to see what happens To bring in the plug-in there a little arrow by the boxes just click on these then find the plue-in you wish like the xero plug-in or redfields just play with it; that all i do anyway

jock500--
Thanks very much for the suggestion but I don't think I can use it. The KPT3's only work with bitmap images. My textures, well the colors at least are based off of Bryce's DTE, in which you can change their colors =)

Also, I'm no expert with KPT3, but it seems that the KPT3's are only capable of generating new images for textures, and not of modifying existing ones. I could be wrong. =)

Lastly, they don't seem to have been shipped with Bryce5. As with Fran, you wouldn't happen to know of a place to download them, would you?

http://www.redfieldplugins.com/ http://www.freephotoshop.com/html/free_plugins.html http://www.photoshop-filters.com/html/the_filters.htm http://www.photoshop-filters.com/html/xero.htm http://www.cybia.co.uk/reviews/plugins/xero.htm the only place you can use the photoshop plug-ins is in leo mode. As you see in the image I circle the little arrows that point down. Click on this and you will see serlect plug-in folder. i have a folder that photoshop and other drawing programs can use and bryce is one of them. I did a goole sreach on xero and photoshop plug-ins and a lot of sites came up. All these Bryce will use I know it will use redfild and xero filders for sure and if you bought some filters for photoshop is will work with bryce too. As for the type of files you can use what ever "Leo" will let you use. I do not know if this the right name "Leo" for this type of action or operation. All I knlow is to get into "Leo" and get the image you working with and you can use the plug-in right in bryce without going first to photoshop. bitmap images can be change to jpegs and the colors can be change there if all else fail. then Put it into "Leo". please forgive me for not knowing the right name for this operation. Plus you can use the deep editor too with "Leo" Redfield have some good free fitlers and some real good ones you can buy. the ones you buy will not save in bryce or on the image at all. you can play with them to see if you like them but you can not save nothing with them. you can do a printsceen on the image you made if you like but it not the same. just buy it if you like it hope I make cent here if not ask again and I do my best to anwer

I think I'd need a tutorial on this, I've been to the redfields site and it's just too confusing to even know where to start, I dunno what to try downloading or what to do with it once I've downloaded it, or what to do with it in Bryce after I've donw whatever you do after downloading it...I've never used a plug-in before, you see.
