Ok, so I was looking at all my Dad's old books and I see this. I thought, wow, the tragedy of the moon, I've got a great idea... so I spend about 2 weeks working on this image: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=981130&Start=1&Artist=Nicko15&ByArtist=Yes Then about a week later I Googled Tragedy of the moon and saw this: http://www.bookitinc.com/pictures1/163912.jpg 'Big deal', I hear you cry, 'its called the tragedy of the of the moon, what did you expect!' but then I saw this!: http://homepage.mac.com/jhjenkins/Asimov/Books/Book144.html What!!! that moon is just like mine!!! btw, this book is non a science fiction novel, it is a more a collection of essays. Am a psychic? How did I know... PS Im on chapter III, it's an interesting read.

If you can find them, there are (at least) two more books by Asimov that might interest you. They are science fact, not fiction. IIRC, one is called "Asimov on the physical sciences" and the other is something like "Asimov on the chemical sciences" (might be "biological sciences"). They are fascinating reading, especially (for me) the chemistry/biology one; on reading that I actually understood DNA and RDNA etc. for the first time! I don't know if they are still available, and my copies went walk-about roughly 15 years ago... I'd love to re-aquire them. Asimov was a great teacher! Cheers, Diolma

Asimov wrote more than 200 books (of all types), so chances are better than you think..;)

As far as I know, Isaac Asmiov has written more books (fiction AND non) than any other human in history. He's amazing, and one of the greatest pioneers of hyperspacial theory... Not only that, but he pretty much re-invented robots.

I just re-read my post and realised I'd typed "RDNA" instead of "RNA". I think these 3D forums are beginning to affect my thought processes. I know that IA wrote lots more than I recommended (and I have read a lot of them, 'tho probably not all of them, including the Foundation series, as they were published. He's a hero of mine.) I was just pointing out a couple of books that happened to fascinate (and educate me). (End of self-justification/I know more than I think I do bit..)

Cheers,
Diolma

PS. My thought processes are definitely NOT being affected by Asimov's 3 rules, nor by excessive re-fuelling at the alcohol station. (Well, that's my story, and I'm stuck to it..) :-))

Wow, talk about prolific! I've really only scratched the surface...

diolma ( ) posted Thu, 30 June 2005 at 3:45 PM

They're the ones! "Asimov on Chemistry" and "Asimov on Physics". Were they really that long ago? Doesn't time fly. I wonder if they're still available somewhere? My copies went walk-about years ago.... Cheers, Diolma
