About fifteen minues ago I was browsing through DAZ store and suddenly everything stopped loading - no site found, no ping, nothing. Can't get to PoserPros either. Everything else is working for me fine, so I assume it's something with DAZ servers - or am I wrong ? My boyfriend checked too, and he can't get there either. And he wanted to grab Emotiguy today while Emo is still free... Bad bad servers :(

Strange, I just tried, and there is no DAZ. Hmmm...

Funny - I'm talking to someone who can get access to PoserPros but I have no luck with either.

Oh ? A lucky person you are. Is there on forums anything about this problem ?

Can't access it from here in Europe, maybe it is a router somewhere thats down, considering some people are able to load it.

It's unfair, today's the last day some of us can grab Emotiguy and A3 for free. So, no lucky guys who can connect from Europe, huh ? That's evil.

I'm logged in at DAZ from the UK now, and I was at Poser Pros a couple of hours ago - sounds like an Internet problem (DNS? Dunno). It stands a better chance of being fixed soon if that's so. You won't have to wait for DAZ to get out of bed. :)

I usually can't get the forums at this time of day. I think someone is launching DOS attacks at DAZ, around dawn Eastern Time every morning. The forums become impossible. (If you try, like, 20 times, you may eventually get in, but I don't have the patience.) The rest of the site is usually available, but noticeably slow.

This morning, though, I can't get to the store, either.

I can get both in DAZ and Poser Pros fine, and I'm also in Europe so it must be specific routers with the problem I guess.

Tried again, except forum everything seems to be working again, first time today...

Yup, seems to be up again for me, too. It's really weird. This has been going on for at least a week now. I can't get to the forums at breakfast time, but by the time I'm at my desk, they're back up again.

No joy with either sites from here in the UK, I was starting to think it was just me until I wandered in here. :o)

Hmmm. I take it back. The PoserPros forums are up, and the DAZ store, but the DAZ forums are still 404 for me. I wish I knew why they have this problem every morning. (Except Sunday, when it lasted most of the day.)

Both sites are finally working for me too.

There was once an ISP whose customers continually complained that they failed to get service in the early mornings. They set a team of IT boffins onto the problem to try and track it down. Try as they might none could find an answer. Feeling that no glich was going to get the better of them the team work through the night and into the small hours of the morning. At about 4:30 .......

Weird shite... No problem finding DAZ but this site continues to give slow refreshes and SQL errors.

I am in Holland and just tried again - both sites - no problems.

I thought I read in a thread somewhere that they get denial of service attacks every morning or something like that. I guess several sites that run phpBB boards have been plagued with them.

No problems here. Has it been resolved for everyone else? Yes, if you run phpBB, there are loads of script-kiddies drooling to take down your forum. The older the version you run, the more exploits exist and have been verified. Always run AV, firewall (software or hardware), keep your security patches up to date, and use the latest phpBB version (currently 2.0.16). That's the only defense.

I bet it's because everyone is downloading the new quarker hair from DAZ. Love esther

I'm in Ireland...this morning i tried to get into Daz, but couldnt...no problem now tho. :)

The DAZ forums have been slow or impossible to reach European mornings (small hours Mountain time), so my guess is that it's either a backup routine or other maintenance (splitting the F.O.O.L. thread for instance).
