The limits issue is a known bug, and rumor has it that the problem has been resolved in the next release version. It's not caused any problems for me, once I tell D|S it's OK to turn off limits. I'm not sure about the scaling issue, though. D|S and Poser are pretty divergent when it comes to interpretation of a variety of mathematical functions, so it's not surprising that D|S would mangle figures heavily modified in Poser. One solution would be to reset the figures in Poser and resave the scene; import the scene into D|S and apply the transformations there.

If I may jump on this thread, I have an IMPORTING question, as well...sort of. I don't own Poser, as I just got into this recently, but I do have D|S. (what can I say, I'm on a budget...) Anyhow...I just downloaded the free Dystopia cityscapes (AWESOME, by the way...) they loaded into the Studio fine, and I can see them in my menus....but when I try to import them they tell me that a Texture file (or something like that) is missing. I tried to locate it and fix it when it gave me the opportunity, but got lost....I'd love to be able to use the sets (I DO plan to buy all the Dystopia stuff eventually) but If I don't fix the problem, parts of my city are just floating in mid air... Help...please....
I don't have this package, but if it's a "missing" texture problem, it could be that the file reference in the figure file is wrong. There's a very good utility by Hogsoft called "Correct Reference" that you can run on your Runtime folder that will find any incorrect texture references. CR will then either fix them automatically or allow you to find the files so it can fix the reference. Do a search in the free stuff here on Rendo; I'm pretty sure there's a link to their site.
It could also be that the sets are using one or more of the textures that come with Poser (Default ground texture comes up quite often, and the GoldRflect reflection map is often used). Sometimes it doesn't matter - Poser adds a "defualt" surface to the list that is rarely used by any of the mesh, and it sometimes gets a map applied to it: try skipping and see how the reuslts look.

Exporting out of Poser 4 I have figures ( 2 V3's, and 1 YT) that all have mods to their x,y,z and overall scale size. When I bring them into Daz 0.9.23.1 they come in crazy with misshapen bodies because of the scaling, the clothes, go bezerk and I am left with this Dali-esqe file on the screen that is unusable. I know this is a known bug but does anyone know of a work around? Another issue I'm having is "Too many rotational degrees" when I import a file, I have turned of the limits but there is something else this thing is freaking out over. Does anyone know what the limit or limits are? I would love to use this as a final rendering solution, especially now that I have a monster nVIDIA card that poser could care less about but these limits will prevent me from doing so at this time.
