Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 22 10:18 pm)
Aeneas, I'm exactly where you are! I was all set to buy, then I joined the Yahoo group and seemed to be seeing lots of messages about problems. To be fair, when people have problems, they tend to post them, but when everything works, they tend to keep quiet and get on with it. So the group may provide a skewed outlook. And then I found that while I was dithering the price jumped way up 'cos I missed the introductory period!! Curses! I'm just at the point where I think this might be a must-have, even at the higher price... but I need just a teeny bit more convincing that it's as good as it looks.
You need more convincing? Trust me, buy it. This software is a must-have now. Think about the possibilities of using most of your clothing on almost any figure you have...The package is simple to use, and works absolute wonders. I was in on the Beta test, and I bought it as soon as it was released. I am not the least bit sorry I did. As far as people posting problems, if you follow any of those threads, you will see that all questions are answered, and the person winds up ecstatic just a post or two later. Those same people are there the next week sharing analyses with the rest of the group. Also, PhilC and Kamilche (the authors) are on the Yahoo Group practically 24/7. Since WW was released, there hasn't been a time I have visited the forum and at least one of them wasn't on. And they try to answer all support questions themselves. What more can you ask for? Too bad you missed the intro pricing, but let me say, those who have had the product since day 1 agree that we would have paid the current price, maybe even more for this thing. For the record, I have no affiliation with the authors, and I am simply speaking from an extremely satisfied (er, rabid?) customer's perspective. Go ahead, take the plunge. And if that isn't enough to convince you, a functional demo is available at PhilC's website. You can only work with a couple of models with the demo, but it is fully functional on those models (I think they are the P4 defaults.) Hope this helps!
begins to think maybe Phil and Kamilche should put him on the payroll
Destro... OK, I was already semi-convinced, but I think you just pushed me over the edge. And while I'm really annoyed (at myself!) for not getting in before the price hike, I can't really complain. I've got more than my money's work out of PhilC products in the past, and if this thing works even reasonably well, I guess it'll pay for itself fairly quickly. Thanks!
Good to hear that Morphy. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Sharen, what problem are you having? Can you post what you are doing, and what point you are running into a snag? Also, have you posted to the Yahoo Group forum? Everyone there is ready and willing to help with any problems, and so far, no problem I have seen has gone unanswered, usually by either Phil or Kamilche. I'll help you if I can though, just throw me some specifics.

Sharen, I've recorded an on screen video tutorial for you, (and others). I've placed the link on the Wardrobe Wizard info page. It just shows a very basic "no frills" run through of how to use the program.Hope it helps.
For anyone who has any doubts, get the demo and try it. It just handles the standard P4 and P5 adults, but there's a lot of good stuff out there still for P4/Posette, and Judy has better elbows. There are awkwardnesses in Poser 5, coming from how the Poser Python system works. Looking at the list, She-Freak needed something like this.
I've only just this weekend started playing with my WW but i've gotta say WOW! this is worth EVERY penny I paid for it and quite honestly i would have gladly paid more. Don't underestimate the money this little gem is going to save you in the future so if you can't afford it now SAVE UP! you won't regret it. Make the most of ALL your Poser figures!
Wardrobe Wizard is simply the best thing since sliced bread! I'm extremely happy and VERY impressed. Suddenly David can wear EVERYTHING i'd want to put him in, even V3's bondage gear, shold I so desire cough

I'll throw in my support. Above is a pic from Daz3D (I hope they don't sue me) showing the MilGirl Pre-teen Blacker Magic outfit. The URL below the pic takes you to a render of a morphed version of TheGirl character wearing the same outfit after some treatment with Wardrobe Wizard.
Now, I admit that I did do some final clean up with magnets; PhilC & Co admit that the program doesn't handle gloves, shoes, and other items as well is it does body clothes. The jacket area around the hands, and the boots, I had to tweak. But had I tried to do this all by magnets, I would have spent hours and hours. I did the above conversion in about 30 minutes on 4 items of clothing.
Yeah, it's worth the $60 bucks!
today I converted the PW v1 saloon girl outfit from V1 to fit md, a3, sf, p4f, judy, s3, v3 and sara. If I had staci, koshini, laroo and jessi I could have converted them too given oh another half hour or so. so 8 clothing items times 8 figures in about 4 hours. (And the main reson it took that long is becasue I was reading a book.) I dont know about you? but thats worth my money. for a day to day user it means any clothing item you have will fit almost any model you have (assuming its supported of course) and after the initial setup analysis (longest I've had was 34 minutes) the conversion to the figure takes from 12 seconds to 120 seconds (longest I've had yet) I've had some problems with shoes, espeically shoes not fitted around the figures foot. I had some troubles with some of the adjustment commands after sr4 ish ..but I waited 2 days and Phil and Kamilche fixed the bugs. Right now I'm having trouble with HER, but I told them about it and I'm certain that within the week the issue will be dealt with. We're at sr6 after what, 1 months release? which means as fast as bugs are reported they are fixed and new figure support is added regularly and for FREE. Sure beats DAZ's track record with the UTC. SO basically for the price of one plugin, plus half an hour of my time, I have massively multiplied the usability of my runtime. This in my opinion is a Good Thing. As a content provider I can now go back and dig up some of PoserWorlds more unique items and update them for newer figures. This is also good. We just rereleased the firefighter and labtech set for 12 new figures ..tell me thats not worth the money :) (plus until you've SEEN the freak in a can-can dress you havent fallen out of your chair laughing .....) Lyrra
Yeah... converting clothes becomes an addiction real fast :o) Don't forget (as it has also been mentioned before) that it's also a great way if fitting clothes to custom morphed characters :o)

Wow, I was really happy to hear today that new figures have been added to Wardrobe Wizard, because I don't have much stuff for She Freak. I didn't see anyone talking about it, so I thought I'd post and let you guys know! The new figures are Kiki, LaRoo2, Glam Jessi, Glam Vicki, Ingenue Vicki, Staci, and She Freak.
