lets all sit down at a table, have some browniesthe green kind and talk..... talking would of solved the world wars,as it was, alot of male posturing occured, end result?? many lives lost due to testerone flare-ups.continuation of accusations will just create more strife... agree to not agree,it would help the situation... and if hitler was around,i'd spank him and send him to his room...
Pariah... please do start your own site. I'll join. Be refreshing to get away from some of the poser politics. I am sourly amused by the observation that we'd be seeing an entirely different tone of post on this subject if the situation were reversed and it were a Renderosity admin banned for hacking Renderotica.
"I am a good person now and it feels... well, pretty much the same as I felt before (except that the headaches have gone away now that I'm not wearing control top pantyhose on my head anymore)"
{I have read and reread Tim's statement. There is not one word that could or should be viewed as inflammatory or libelous. } Normally, you're right. HOWEVER, due to the tensions that have been present between the sites for a while, mentioning that Wagner was an Admin at R'otica AND that attacks like this had originated from there before was, while understandable, a bit tactless. The general membership did NOT need to know that; only the "higher-ups" at both sites. The banning should be a matter of public record; the rest should have been handled behind the scenes. However, since this WAS the second attack, I can understand the frustration Tim felt and can see why he mentioned it. I don't agree with the decision, but I understand it.
CEB, I don't know of any "tensions" between the two sites; "apples & oranges" if you know what I mean? Account security is the issue. If a hacker holds admin status at Renderotica none of the database there is safe. I would again advise people to use a unique password for every forum they are a member of. -Jeff
Pariah is absolutely right. There's NOTHING inflamatory about what Tim posted. It simply stated the facts. If the people who run Renderotica don't like the fact that one of their Mods is hacking Renderosity. Then their response SHOULD be: We are very sorry for this. We will discuss this with Tim and take action against this person. So that the members feel safe using both sites and feel confident in the Board Moderators actions. NOT: Don't blame us,Don't blame us,Don't blame us........... You ARE responsible for your moderators actions. Morally!!! I sure hope none of you have kids over there. My kid did what? Hey. Don't blame me........ Can you at least attempt to be professional? ScottA
{I sure hope none of you have kids over there. My kid did what? Hey. Don't blame me........} That's the American Mantra. "He didn't misbehave because we raised him badly, he got the idea from Jackass." "It's the fault of society for keeping our people down, he's just lashing out, it's only a phase." "I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Oral sex is not sex."
No such thing as getting away from poser politics, every site that has been poser has been dragged into it not because of personal reasons, because of competition of the sites if you really want to get down to the core of it. There may be some hard feelings here and there and some toes stepped on, some fingers slammed in the door as it is being locked, Some spying Hacking and rumors, But when you get to the core of it all it is competition. So do not belive the war rumors thats all hype. If anyone is at war it is the site managers and moderators, And a few tite ass members who are wanna be's because thier lives suck and they have nothing better to do but bitch on the internet.. and thats the truth.
as a bystander... do you all have ANY idea how silly this all is? over and over..he did this, she did that, they did this, they did that... big mf'n deal... if someone hacks..they pay 'criminally' if caught. I know this by personal experience. The former Brycetech (whom is no longer with us) was once busted for hacking...she simply hacked a scoreboard on a televised football game and made it display the wrong team names. It was a joke, it was harmless...she paid for that...with time in jail. (btw..no one knew that until just now!) what Im saying, is it doesnt matter...I dont want my stuff passed around to anyone, be it joe blow or joe bloe's uncle...and no one is in the wrong to ban... however, over and over..you guys keep taking those little 'shots' at one another. G, do you all have any idea how much more you could accomplish if youd work together? The combined sites could be a 3d force to reckon with IF you'd just chill and try to work together somehow... just try a baby step try "I'm sorry"...and resist that chance to poke those little comments in...after all, I visit the sites to enjoy the talent..and efforts of everyone there. I just find it amazing that even after this long, you all still want to fight... oh well, BT

I have read and reread Tim's statement. There is not one word that could or should be viewed as inflammatory or libelous. It is a factual statement. As someone who deals with public relations all day, I can assure everyone that any pending lawsuits over such a statement would be laughed out of court. If both hacking attempts did indeed stem from moderators of Renderotica, Tim was well within his legal rights to make such a statement. If he has said, "Both attacks have stemmed from `rotica and have the full support of DSI," then things would be different. I try so much to remain neutral to all three sites, but the urge to start my own erotic Poser site grows stronger every day, just so users will have a place to go to avoid such nonsense.
