Since mixed medium don't has a forum and I also use fractals I ask my question overhere. This is the problem: The last few weeks when I try to post an Image I got a blank thumb with a nice litle X and a blurry and very pixelated image. This only happens when I use ultrafractal. This is what I do: I do my thing in Uf and than export the image as a psd image including the layers, after that I open it up in Photoshop, do my thing and save it as bmp. Than I save for web twice [image and thumbnail.] the thumbnali is not attached to the image and the size and how big the image is supposed to be are also correct. It's also jpg and it looks perfect on my pc. This is how i always did it. Question: what am I doing wrong???what's going on???? Don't make me wait to long cuz it makes me sick..LOL.

Thanks for posting here! It gave me the kick in the pants that I needed to go visit your beautiful gallery. I can see your thumbs just fine... but I have experienced what you are describing before. Have you tried dumping your browser cache and revisiting your gallery? And I'm sure you already know to use different names for the image and the thumb.... other than that I don't have a clue:)

@panny,the thumbs you are seeing are the ones that went well, the others I had to delete because there is no thumb only a square with a litle X and the image itself looks horrible, lol. I delete them at once ,this happenend 5 times today,so I can't upload the image..help needed...

I don't know why it's happening, but I think when you see the red x and the pixilated large image what has happened is that Rosity thinks you entered no thumbnail image, and it thinks that your thumb is your large picture, so it puts the thumb up very enlarged and of course it is pixilated. You might want to check with admin about this, but first be sure that you are moving to the second line to upload your large image. I hope that helps.

Ohhh, too bad I arrived late, as I've seen this problem happen to many members. You are correct, Brian, that happens when your image and thumnail file names are the same. I, for example, save my thumbs with the suffix -TN so I can find them quickly. Not that it helped since you already figured it out, but... :) Barb

I'm glad Panny thought to mention the same name thing, it really is a nuisance. I save my images to a Rosity posting file "image.jpg' and "imageth.jpg" This puts them right next to each other and easy to find. After posting, I move them to a 'sent' file (ok...my memory isn't great, lol) I was delighted to see your latest 2, but I think you need to come back to the fractal gallery. The general consensus is that your kind of work belongs here!

Fractals will always amaze me!
