Hi everybody, i'm tryung to create a gravel ground with lots of little little stone like gravel. But i don't succeed in making a realistic floor. Is somebody have an idea to help me? I need relief and not juste a textured floor. Thanks a lot! vian

One easy thing you can try - if you are using a .jpg for the gravel surface, use the same .jpg as a bump map.

Lingrif is right. Or, you could model such a thing in another program OR..make a terrain, use a height map (greyscale image) of stoneyground to give a real rough surface :)

Yes that's right, i think my little mind decided to be really complicated in finding a solution... i m going to try that and wil let you know. Thank a lot for your answer, have a nice day,

You could do this with 'Infinite' Just use an ecosystem of rocks, scale them down small & apply a fairly high density. It will look good, but will rack up a huge poly count affecting render times. Rokol.

You could try using this:-) (It's tileable) Full resolution version avaliable if wanted, just e-mail/IM me. Do not expect immediate answers, although sometime in the next week requests will be fulfilled. (Warning: full resolution version is > 3 meg in tiff format.) It won't do for large areas 'cos the pattern shows up, but for small areas (especially if they only need a couple of tiles each way), it works OK.. Cheers, Diolma
