Sams3d has a nice plantation house model, although it's not the same design as the one in your picture.Jeff

Here's a plantation house in the MP What about that droopy tree....where to find that?Attached Link: http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=2651
Wow Cherokee, where did you find that pic? I would be thrilled if someone would model that! Unfortunately I need it this week for a client image so I can't wait for someone to model it. But I would always use it later...:>) Rammimus...that house is a little cartoony for me and the inside is not authentic, there isn't any crown moulding or baseboards in the rooms... As for the "droopy tree"...you can find the Spanish moss at Daz link above.Attached Link: http://www.bishoppeakgroup.net/tour/images/Week%2002%20Images/Dunleaf%20Plantation%20640x480.jpg
I found that pic at the link above but if you do a net earch for Dunleith you'll find more images of the plantation.I was just compairing the pic you posted and the one I posted. It's the same plantation house. Look at the trim around the dormer windows...it's the same.

Sometimes Poser users forget that they can import .3ds, so that's a reminder if you haven't checked out a lot of the sites devoted to 3D modeling that have most of their stuff in 3ds format. I find those sites the best places to find buildings and so forth, and there is quite a selection of historical houses available. Here are a couple of links where you can find a lot of buildings: http://www.3dcafe.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=38 http://www.3dcommune.com/3d/free.mv?Poser_Free_Stuff+only+5+go+0+4 http://www.baument.com/
That would be cool if they had a model of the house in 3ds format but I don't even remember seeing one of it anywhere (in any format). Oh, I do know that 3ds files (along with several other formats) can be imported into Poser. As RAMNIMUS mentioned, there is something similar to it in the Market Place, but isn't not quite up to par for what Rachel_R is looking for I don't believe.

I should add that mapps quite openly takes requests for models. He might be willing to do one to the specifications of the pictures you have. Whether he could do that in a week though for Rachel_R is a completely different matter. But for cherokee69 who just wants it generally, it might be worth asking.http://www.runtimedna.com/catalog.ez?ShowProduct=EJ%2D008&TopElement=0
I still think it would great if some brillant modeler made a massive tree like an Live Oak for Poser people to climb on. (Bayon Trees are also neat and good for climbing!)
Ah man!! I just googled for "Oak Alley" pictures and found that they've cut off the lower branches of the trees! Ack! I have pictures on me standing next to one of the massive live oaks, and I could put a hand on the one of the lowest branches. They were so heavy, and so old, they almost touched the ground. Bummer. They should have left the trees alone. They were very spooky-cool looking. :(

Well as bjbrown pointed out cherokee69 it would be worth asking mapps :-) I don't know how soon I could look at it but I did download your Pic. I am working on a haunted house for my 2nd Aniversary (in October) and have been unable to decide on a house design, I like this one. Though if I do it, and I think I will, the textures will be old and creeky. New textures could be subsituted though using the textures I'll be doing as a template.
Wee! I have lots of pictures of Oak Alley. I can send them to you! They made the house creepy looking and dirty when they shot the movie there. They also put the Spanish Moss back in the oak trees (the director there almost had a heart attack! lol!) I have lots of different angles of the house if that is helpful for you. :D happy dance Your stuff rocks! :D bB
