Other than shining a spotlight down a transparent cone... what is what I done here... is there a way to simulate a spotlight 'beam' in P6..?

and before anybody calls the RSPCA... I know that it is not PC to use certain animuls in circus acts now. I had to use the tiggers 'cos my house mice are on their Summer vacation.

You can use volumetric lights I guess. I've never tried it with more than one though (you know.. me and Poser lights...) but I can't see why it shouldn't be possible.

ziggie - volumetric lights won't show up unless you have a background behind them. They can also be glacially slow to render.

Ziggie, you don't fool us for a moment. This is all just an elaborate excuse to model large-breasted vickies in black leather corsets with big whips saying "up, big boy!" in unfamiliar accents. There's nothing to be ashamed of you know, you don't have pretend it's about tigers... ;-) Um... why is there orange seaweed growing on the hoop in the middle? Just pullin' yer leg :o) Nice props, even little joiners on the fence sections, I'm impressed! Ob

thanxz for the tips an' links peeps. SamTherapy... slow to render..? You aint kidding. Prolly great for smokey and fancy venetian blind effects an stuff, but I don't think they will suit my need 'cos I need lots of em. Guess I will stick with my cone system. Main advantages being... speed and the fact that the light beams can be seen in preview mode, so positioning/angling them is very easy. Ob... I was gonna use fire on the ring but peeple would have complained.. so I went with the orange seaweed ;-) The fence actually is in sections, well quarters really... as is the ring, tent, seating., etc. That way peeps can use it as a whole or just work with the sections that they need. ziggie

Thanx FBN... seen that one before. Nice but doesn't suit my need. My lites actually need to lite what they are aimed at as in my pic.

Just as well you didn't go with the flames Ziggie, that smell of smouldering tiger really clings! and having flaming tigers racing 'round the tent setting fire to children can be SO distracting for the jugglers. :o) I fooled around with some seaweed settings, see what you think of these: P4 (more fun possible in firefly, obviously) Ob
