Hi, I usually work making 3D human models for 3D VR World Community Chat Sites. I use Paint Shop Pro 7 for my postwork so I upload into the Mixed Medium category. My question is about a few photos I made using Lexmark's WorkShop Photo Fantasy software(95 Windows version. LOL). Am I allowed to upload any of these into the Galleries, specifically Photographs? I will include an example. Thank you, PumaSue

You can use your original photographs. As long as you take them. Adding some of postwork is fine too.We like to see at least some of the original photo in an image. Using programs like Poser or other 3D apps inside,it is then reccomended to upload to Mixed Medium.

Many of my photo's have been touched up with photoshop, etc.... should those images be under mixed medium?

I am very sorry, but I don't completely understand your answer to my "Question". Is the photo example I provided okay to use? I feel like a dummy, but I am still unsure. The original to my face in the photo is on my Home/Artists Page. Do I need to somehow include that with my photo?

hi Sue,

in photo collages such as this, it needs to made up of all your own original photos to upload to the Photo Gallery.... now if you use "bits" off the web you need to obtain written permission or if this photo is yours that you used from Lexmark's WorkShop Photo Fantasy, be sure & credit that & then you may post these to the 2D or Mixed Media galleries... hope that helps

:]

Okay, let me make sure I am clear on how to do this correctly. LOL. I can upload the image(s) into Mixed Medium as long as the inserted images that are used in the Lexmark Workshop Photo Fantasy "templates" are only of myself and that I credit Lexmark and any other software I use to render the image. I am not to use anyone else's face, especially one taken off the web, unless I have written permission. Correct?

Thank You,
Sue

pretty close... it's not really that you need to credit the software used (although that's always nice to know) but to give credit to where you got the image you are merging your own photos with... in this case, the templates... (or royalty free stock photos, friend's or other's photos that have given you permission to use) i would be leery of using the Clintons though or any other "celebrities" without their permission (even though they're everywhere in parody on the web) :]

Hi cynlee,

Okay, so even though the Clintons are part of the Photo Fantasy CD-ROM program I should not use them. I should stick to the templates in the program that do not involve known personalities? Like this other one I made?

Thank you very much for your patience and time.

Sue :)

LOL @ Sharilyn! Silly woman #:O) Like Cindy said, your photos are EXACTLY where they belong. There would be a mighty empty gallery if people couldnt post touched up photos in it. #;o)

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?
