  1. Lack of a decent Undo feature! Some things can't be undone at all and if you didn't save before you goofed something, forget about reverting back. Speaking of the revert, in Poser 5 why do the parameter/properties disappear when you revert to the last saved file? >>2. Expressions which reset the face morphs! I never save morphs with expressions or poses, but a lot of earlier poses done by other people seem to reset everything. This is another time when the Undo doesn't work. >>3. IK always being on by default. In my opinion, it's not very handy. The default should be off until they fix this. >>4. The crap Library system. It just sucks!! Plain and simple. Poser 6 made some slight improvements, but nothing that I would call helpful. With version 6, why didn't they create a category just for MAT files. I know they have the Material category, but it's only available when you are in the Material Room. Poses should be for poses, not material application. #1 Now what about when you're searching for a particular body part and you have to scroll through a long list. It seems to me that back in Poser 3 (or was it 2) that when you needed to scroll through the long list of body parts, it cascaded the list to the left or right side not up and down like it is now. Why are genitals and buttocks last? Never understood that one either. #2 M3's lap looks funny when he sits. There are obvious creases in the upper thigh. #3 Get rid of all those useless parameter dials that aren't descriptive and seem to do nothing. I think they all start with PBM or something like that. Dial Cleaner is too much work and trouble. #4 A medical terminology ReadMe for those latin medical terms most of us don't know. I even have a former medical background and can't remember or never heard of them. #5 The ability to save MAT files inside of Poser. #6 This one is hard to explain, but...When placing figures inside of props, a way to keep the prop from totally obscuring everything that is placed within it. Sometimes when you have to adjust rotation or poses, or even placing props in the hands of the figure within this big prop (like a house), you have to zoom so close to the figure you end up going inside of it. I've had this complaint since Poser 3. #7 An easier way to adjust lights. Fix that damn spot light so we can tell which direction it is pointed in. The flaps need to be colored in or make it look like a spotlight. #8 A nice toolbar at the top with many of the functions used frequently. Get rid of the big ball and have it as a drop down from this nice toolbar or a pop-out from the side. I rarely use the little one or the hands at the top of the posing window. All of these old things left over from Poser 3 take up too much space. I can't remember if it was in Poser 2. I trashed that years ago. #9 Poser 6 User Manual is just as bad as the one for Poser 4. I couldn't find anything useful in it regarding the complicated Texture Room. The graphics are out of date. #10 The cancel button during rendering should cancel, not continue on and on until it feels like stopping. Usually it works, but sometimes it doesn't. In Poser 5, it hardly ever stops and I have to reboot.

#3 Get rid of all those useless parameter dials that aren't descriptive and seem to do nothing. I think they all start with PBM or something like that. Dial Cleaner is too much work and trouble. Those are partial body morphs, which are required to make the full body morphs in the Body section of the figure. They kinda have to be there in order for the full body morphs to work.

Does there have to be so many? You have to scroll through 20 or more just to get to the ones you need. I might not have mentioned the correct name for these. Many have a 2-3 digit letter and numbers afterward. The useful dials are all at the bottom and the useless ones that I'll never use are at the top.

What I hate the most is the "copy" function, It doesn't copy anything but parameters! If you want to add more items you have to go back and forth in the library (already well deserved complaints) between props and figures and merchant folders, geez! All could be much easier if you could just copy and paste it.

I would like the rooms to be able to be selected from the menu. As it is, you can access the Material room from anywhere with render:materials/CTRL+U, but that's it.I have a rather nice UI setup now, which hides the tabs when in the Pose room. I have to click a UI dot every time I open Poser or load/create a scene, but it's wonderful to not worry about accidentally switching to another room just because I click a few pixels off from where I thought I was. The light system is my biggest pet peeve. it is truly the WORST I have ever seen in any program. Main items that suck: (1) Adding a new light creates a spotlight. I rarely use spotlights. This might not be such a big problem, but... (2) ...newly added lights are NAMED INCONSISTENTLY, and... (3) ...even worse, some of the standard light parameters are NAMED INCONSISTENTLY, making it impossible to copy/paste info at times. (4) Point lights should be able to cast shadow maps. This has been possible in several 3d applications for several years, so it is neither impossible nor difficult to do. (5) If you have 3 lights in the scene, and load a light set with four, the fourth light doesn't get a shadowcam, thus making it impossible to cast shadowmaps. (6) I agree with everyone else who raised an issue with the lights. It's time to scrap the current system entirely (for Poser 7). One thing I think gets kind of neglected in these threads, and possibly makes CL/eF get defensive, is that we do love Poser. If we didn't care, we wouldn't bring up such issues. We'd just stop using Poser and go elsewhere. However, CL/eF really needs to address these major issues, such as the undo and the lights, which have been a thorn in our side for way too long, in Poser 7. They have stated (unless I'm mistaken) that Poser 7 will be a complete rewrite, so it will be the most crucial update to Poser since version 3.

I have one thing that bugs me a lot after doing my newest image.I hate hair that comes with 100 morphdials but the dialtitles are so cryptic that i only can guess what happens.That is annoying because i dont wanna spend additional money for products that give hairstyles.

Readme files, Exhibit "A"; I been tryin to isolate these fer years by manually movin' 'em to one big Readme folder. Probbem is, 95% of content has such unique names, like Readme, README, & ReadMe that a lot of 'em somehow get overwritten. How 'bout more descriptive files, such as "Readaboutyerbitchin'newproduct"? Readme Files, Exhibit "B"; Regardless of what they're named, I'd like to find 'em (or a copy) in the same folder as the product in the Library. I figger that if I can eventually find the product in Poser, the Readme will be a snap to find when I go to delete them useless bloody .rsr files (P5) Readme files, Exhibit "C"; OK, I've finally found my Readme...I tink....but the contents seem to be in Japanese or Swahili or sumpin'. IMO, if the content is in (language X), then "Readme" should likewise be written in (language X) Bad content packaging; I REALLY hates when I go lookin' fer my new (whatever), & can't find it in any folder only to discover it was packaged in a folder named Runtimes, or Library. Bad content packaging 2, the Sequil; MATs & poses in Pose library...check! Lights in Lights library....check! Cameras....check! Where's my tingy? In a .pz3 in the Root folder, of course. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!! And in summation, I want a prompt to save before I render, 'cuz I KNOW that if I don' save, the sucker gonna freeze. Oh, & the undo tingy

17. When a tex fails to load on adding something to the scene, the popup should suggest a path by presenting the path which is specified in the cr2 or pp2 or whatever, to give me something to start with when I have to search. This is a common solution in similar situations in a number of other apps I use sand should be easy to implement.

God - that would be so useful. Particularly for us multiple runtimers, if the file referencing is wrong Poser is never going to find the damn texture. If the program simply popped up, told you that the file reference was wrong and provided the supposed path - that would be so much quicker and easier.

I hope that E-Frontier and the Rendo merchants are taking notes!

" - Use the camera's Hither dial - clumsy to adjust precisely, but it works. To problems needing fixing, most have been covered, but some of the P5 and earlier ones have not: - Update the delete confirmation dialog to list the actual item which is to be deleted. - Fix the focus problem by elimination - multiple independent windows in an application work on MacOS and OSX, but do not on Windows (where it incurs the Windozes overhead of task switching), so don't use it. No amount of tweaking will cover up the fact that P5/P6 are slower and less responsive in terms of parameter dial adjustment than P4. And good parameter dial adjustment is central to Poser. - Update the whole Mac-to-Windows cross-compile interface code so that it uses current Windows APIs not the venerable out-dated no-longer-supported legacy ones. - Either fix the memory usage (more efficient data structures, load lesser-used segments - e.g. face room - only when needed, etc.) and/or implement a proper memory manager, a la Adobe, etc. Either way, stop Poser mindlessly going over the 2GB limit. - Actually do what the past and current CEO's have promised with P5 and then, amidst apologies for the P5 debacle, again with P6: and actually FIX THE BUGS FROM PREVIOUS RELEASES! Sorry, but fixing just 1 doesn't count as mission accomplished, it needs to be the majority, or something close to it.

Why are genitals and buttocks last? Never understood that one either' I've suggested an easy solution in numerous 'wishlists', but of course, CL never take a blind bit of notice. It's very simple. The hands on any figure have 32 (count 'em, folks! Thirty two!) body parts. If each hand had it's own sub-menu for the fingers, we'd be able to scroll through body parts very easily. Thirty parts less makes a very short list indeed. Of course, it's so bleeding obvious and simple that probably CL will never do it. Why make it easy, when you can confuse the users? mac
