Tapestry Of Life: This was inspired in light of recent events both here at Rendo and my life in general. Maybe you'll get some good out of it, maybe not.Depends on your outlook on things at the moment. Theres a poem called the Tapestry Of Life that I ran across somewhere on the internet that I refer to frequently to try and help myself keep an openminded/tolerant aspect on all things.Theres a story with it of a religious nature which I'll post and hopefully non religious folks won't be offended and see the beauty of the story/poem. __________________________________________________________ Corrie Ten Boom of Holland was imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp along with her father and sister for hiding Jews in their home. Her father and sister both perished. For years following her liberation, Corrie struggled with why God had allowed this tragedy, especially, why God had allowed a certain woman prison guard to be so cruel to her dying sister. God gave her an answer while she was touring one of the many European castles. Lying against the wall in the castle was a massive tapestry, mounted and stretched on a wooden frame. But Corrie could only see the underside of the tapestry, not the front. The underside was undiscernablea confused spattering of twisted, knotted and loose dark threads.

Then workers in the castle moved the tapestry to its proper place, and Corrie saw its upper side. The tapestry was a glorious picture of mountains, meadows, cathedrals and castles. What a difference, seeing the upper side.

Then, Corrie realized that the events of this life are like the tangled, confused dark threads of the tapestry they never seem to make sense. But, in heaven, we will see the upper side of the tapestry, so to speak. We will see how God, the weaver, has woven the dark threads of this life into something beautiful. When recounting this story to audiences, Corrie liked to recite the following poem:

My life is but a weaving, between the Lord and me; I cannot choose the colors. He worketh steadily. Oft times, He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride, forget He sees the upper and I the underside. Not till the loom is silent, and the shuttles cease to fly, shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why, the dark threads are as needful in the Weavers skillful hand, as the threads of gold and silver, in the pattern He has planned. (Anonymous)

The Scripture reminds us, "God works all things together for good, to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) Trust God and do not lose heart when the dark threads penetrate your life. God will bring from them good and beauty.

Theres the obvious image itself but behind it lies many dark threads/unseen things.
Stefano has released his flames and Tracey has posted how to make em from scratch and I'd like to share how to colorise them.
Maybe something good can come from all the hurt feelings and misunderstandings afterall and people can use and enjoy these things and learn.

Open the editor window of apophysis after loading a "astral light form" flame.
Select transform no. 1 then click on transform tab.Where it says Symmetry enter the value .8.Change to transform no. 2 and in Symmetry box enter the value .1.If theres another transform select it and add the symmetry value .1.
Open gradient editor and double click a few times to generate a random grad or open your favorite custom gradient with more than 3 colors.

wow! an amazing story - this has been a hard time but hopefully things are back on track now. and thanks for showing me what you have done with these flames! you have really pushed them far beyond the initial look of the flame.

oh,and for some interesting variations of these paramaters - why not try flipping the 1st transform ( try vertical then horizontal - then go on to the other transforms ) you will unveil a whole host more flames of a similar styles using this technique.
