Sorry, most of my attic was lost many years ago (good thing, too). I still remember the first thing I ever did in Bryce was a volcano with a DaVinci standing on it, in Bryce 3.

I used to use poser for some stuff which I have not done in years.(another reason is because I went to Saudi Arabia and they confiscated my disc in 2002) Here is the cast for a sci fi comic I wanted to do. This is pic 2.The wit of a misplaced ex-patriot.
I cheated on my metaphysics exam by looking into the soul of the
person next to me.
I don't have my first image anymore but I remember exactly what it was and could probably re-create it in about 2 minutes. It took me hours then but it was a floating pyramid over a flat plane with a squashed sphere (Spaceship) above it and a light shining down on the pyramid. All default materials and sky. I remember being so damn proud of that scene that I used it as my desktop for months...lol Oh...it was Bryce 2 The first version of Bryce that was available for PC. Version 1 was Mac only. Tom

Oh...in my mind..it was a Hot 20 for sure... This was before many of these online forums even existed.(I think that alt.binaries.3d.Bryce newsgroup was though) Gawd that was along time ago. Does any of you old timers remember a game on AOL by MetaCreations called "Meta Squares"? I'd pay money to have that game available again...lol Tom

Its very nice to go into reminiscence but, When was it that you all became to think that you got better? (My second image!) and to see what your producing now was way off in your dreams and who was your 'God' of Brycing then? I remember only using Bryce 2 (free with a computer mag around 1998ish) and 'trying' to make images. I didnt have any internet then so it was only through pictures i saw that gave me ideas, plus the use of shiny spheres/colours and a very long render time!.......(nothing has changed!)....... Seeing all your images that has inspired me over time and your new ones which seem to come from a completely new 3D programme (will Bryce 6 show even better images!)I often think how quick we all gained expertise in Bryce. I cant wait for all the new image to come and learn more from this wonderful programme we have all become to love. To the many hours to come!!!
Smile, your dead a long time :)
As each of us learns and passes it on, the knowledge base becomes wider and more intricate. Those following will acheive wiser more detailed learning, as does each new generation of children. If you love art, be responsible to Art and pass it on. Whoa....where'd that come from. (That's what I said about my old artwork) LOL Cmon there has to more!!

Thanks. I had to reconnect an old 2GB HDD that was sitting on my bookshelf to find some of those pics. The castle was an all-bryce model as well from memory (it taught me that me and boolean modelling were a mismatch lol).
